I suppose about the same as chickpea.  I always lovvvvveeeddd playing "houdini escapes" with people when I was younger.  HaHa good cover story huh.  Funny how I always ended up being houdini.  LOL  Couple that with being trans I guess I just fit right into the alternative lifestyle.  [8D]

Still waiting for my "ring of steel" collar.  God I hope it gets here soon.

Owner4SexSlave -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 1:10:50 AM)

I was 17 at the time, ended up visiting an Aquaintence/friend of mine that played AD&D in our gaming group.  Me, her and a friend of hers were hanging out in her living room sipping on wine.  A remark or kinky joke was made.  I responded to it, letting them know I was into it.  Then slowly I was being mind probed by two female submissives, asking me 101 questions.  Anyways, this is when I officially was introduced to "the lifestyle".  It was basically, taking everything I had been doing and slapping labels down on it.  Then learning about some new things.

Thank god for friends, wine and great conversation...

Hear about it?  Dude.  I've got the patent.  You all owe me 120%, backdated to your kinky-ass great grandparents.

I also collaborated with Gore on the internets.

...
Meh, a girlfriend showed me some stuff when I was 17.  Plus I read puckerloads of Sci-fi and fantasy, so it was a natural transition.

My first BDSM related memories come from watching the 60's Batman tv-show at the age of 6-7 yrs. :) i used to love the being tied up scenes at that time.

when i started dating older guys, they gradually introduced me to it, with my master really introducing it to me

cravesdom -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 2:00:02 AM)

I first learned about my desires to submit when I read the Gor series of books when I was around 12. I still can't believe they let me check those out from the library! The scenes with the slave girls always got me very excited. Then when I was older I was always looking for my boyfriends to spank me or tie me up. And when we were kids, I was always the damsel in distress, kidnapped and tied up waiting to be rescued!

About 3 ish years ago I had a lover and he sorta took control sexually, and I liked it..a lot Then, later a freind mentioned to me I seem submissive and maybe I should learn how to take care of myself around Dominant people. He and his wife are in bdsm and loaned me some books, took me to my first munch, and answered a lottta questions I had.  Looking back over my life I could see that I was kinda in D/s relationships a few times, and those were the times I was at my best. So here I am, makin friends.

IronBear -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 2:49:37 AM)

Used to read about it in "banned Books & Magixzines" at boarding school. Learned the realities from a Pro Domme friend who was my mentor for some time in BDSM.

My ma had straps on her bed (really, they were bolted into the bed frame)
for halloween when I was 16 she dressed as a Pro Domme, (without a trip to a store :P) I asked her what it was, and she sat me down and explained that some people like this, that or the other, then she gave me a few books to read, and told me she would be home late

When I was in third grade, I was extremely attracted to this girl. I didn't know how to deal with it, I have fought shyness my whole life. Finally one day, I just grabbed her, pushed her against a tree and kissed her. The feel of her heart beating, the feel of her lips, her breaths becoming faster and faster ... I was hooked. She slapped me afterwards, I laughed and we held hands walking back into school.

BikerDomRealTime -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 5:14:54 AM)

I watched a BDSM porn 'movie' and found it very, very exciting.

I was always this way...had a whole ornate fantasy world by the age of 9. Seeing Exit to Eden was the first time I thought maybe I wasn't a monster, and then I got on the internet and woo. :)

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 5:54:06 AM)

In college a roommate took me to a munch.

MsLadySue -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 5:56:25 AM)

I was surfing the internet and accidently ran across a femdom site and was curious about what I was viewing. Turns out my best friend was a Domme of 5 years or so and hadn't informed me figuring I wouldn't understand. Anyway, I asked questions, she answered and next thing I knew she became my mentor.

pompeii -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 6:53:10 AM)

From watching that scene in Star Wars where Jabba the Hut has Princess Liea in sexy nothings as he continually yanks on her collared neck ... and from Superman rescuing the tied up Lois Lane ... and from cartoons with the maiden tied on the railroad tracks ... and from those trashy detective novels (I just read the covers) ... and ...

bipolarber -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 6:58:06 AM)

In my case, I'd always had schoolyard fantasies about being tied up and interrogated by enemies, or robots, or strange aliens from another world...  but, once I hit puberty, I came across my Dad's August '74 issue of Playboy (I think) it was the issue that had the pictoral on the just released "Story of O" movie... suddenly, I realized that there were many others like me out there, and that a great many people were probably playing this way far in excess of what my fevered 12 year old mind was coming up with.

Coerced2Please -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 7:05:32 AM)

my earliest real interest in kink was actually watching a He-Man cartoon when i was really little in the 80s. One of the heroines was suspended over a huge pit hanging only onto a rope. that undulating sexy struggle sparked all the rest

Lynnxz -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/15/2008 8:10:38 AM)

Hrm... I think it was The Princess Bride that had some guy all tied up and tortured... and then I've always had a thing for guys who were physically hurt in some way, but who didn't bitch about it.  I'm STILL that way... I think it may have nudged me into the whole medical field thing.

My first real life experience was knifeplay when I was 17... we called it "Knifesexxing" though... I like that word better anyway.
