Unfortunately an ex destroyed all evidence of that element of my past - although some old copies of MixMag and other clubber magazines had a few of me and some friends falling out of there and Slimelight LOL

Yes it is.. I live close to it. It's where we (my theatre and myself and anyone else who wishes to come along) intend to celebrate the forthcoming premiere of my play 'Switch'. Pics on request.

I happened onto alt.com after finding aff.com.

It opened my eyes to the fact that all my desires for
kink in my life weren't so unusual after all. I had been
desiring being restrained, etc. for years before I found
out there were actually others with the same/opposite
interests.

edited for clarification.

BBWnNC72 -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/16/2008 2:12:43 PM)

When i was young, entering my teens, i used to lay in bed at night and fantasize about being used in all sorts of sexually weird ways, of being taken, tied, beat, shared, and of being made to be a slave to someone. Of course, i never let anyone know, not my best friends, not any of my boyfriends, not even my cousin who answered alot of my embarrassing teenage questions. i thought i was just weird, was worried for a while that i was mentally unstable.  When i got with my ex, i would ask him to spank me while taking me from behind, but it was just a little swat.  i asked him to tie me up, his responce was "i am not doing that, it would be like raping you", that got me hot. LOL. When he left me, i was so depressed, then one day i was messing around on the comp, found a few sites, and said to myself "kat, get over it and enjoy what you have been missing".  That was this past year, i did and and never looked back.  my ex now thinks i have lost it and that i am sick, LOL, he doesn't know what he is missing! [:D]

I'd been doing "this sort of thing" all my life, but it never occured to me that there was a "BDSM lifestyle" until maybe 10 years ago, when someone online mentioned Black Rose.  Before that, it never occured to me that there was any need for community focused on it; I simply assumed that kink was part of everyone's sexuality, to one extent or another.

abcbsex -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/16/2008 4:10:00 PM)

My first BDSM fantasies involved Shredder and his minions from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (very early age). I didn't realize what they were all about or that there was a name for that kind of thing until I got involved on Deviantart, and found an amazing photographer and his wife/model who display kink in most of their work.

it just felt so natural to me... i always thought about these kinds of things, but it wasn't until i discovered something on the internet that made me realize there was alot more people out there witht the same thoughts and fantasies as mine

DragonLadysFire -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/16/2008 5:32:19 PM)

I was always controling and when we played cowboys and indians I was always on the captors side.  I tried vanilla relationships but they all ended badly.  I found out about the lifestyle doing a web search for leather and horse tack and will never look back.
I haven't read the story of O eather.BBWnNC72.

My first Master and I met in a very vanilla setting ~ at the end of the day, He pushed me into a wall (literally) and kissed me so hard, I tasted blood - ummm, yep, that did it for me.

Somehow, I totally forgot the Batman. I loved that as a kid. Batman and Robin looked so dorky. Catwoman and Batgirl so HOT!!! LOTS of bondage too. There are many things I have had fantasies about that have led me to this place. How far back they go is sometimes a surprise.

I looked for it.  I knew I couldn't be the only one like me.

In the old days (pre-Internet) it was quite difficult.  I suppose I first found there were folks such as me in the alternative newspapers in the SF Bay Area.  How I wish I were 100 years younger!  The kids have it so easy today.  Why, when I was your age, I had to walk 20 miles each way to school, in the snow, and that was in June.

Seriously, I had feelings of submission to women when I was quite young (pre-teen).  I had these private fantasies for years.

Lucky kids....

SunshineNShadow -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/18/2008 8:21:28 AM)

I haven’t been into BDSM as long as most people have but I’ve read a lot about it and was introduced to it by someone who was interested in poly relationships and wanted me to be a part of his “family” a while back.
I do have a question about all this though in that I really don’t know where I fall, whether it’s into the Dom, the sub or the switch category.  I believe I am a true sub who wants and likes to please but need a second opinion.
I want to be and would enjoy being sub to a big, strong, handsome bear of a Man who knows his limits.  I long to have someone I can trust, having complete and total control of me and would love being His little girl, whoever that may be.  If He wants to play with me in the middle of the night, I would love for Him to scoop me up out of bed, take me in, shower and shave me and use me however he wants but I also want to know He loves, respects and wants to take total care of me like I’m his prized possession, like I mean something to Him.  I totally get turned on knowing He is turned on from the power He knows He has over me and that’s why I think I’m a true sub.
I can have a Dominant side too if needed or asked to do so which is usually at work since I have managed people in my profession and I don’t mind taking control as long as I know it would please Him now and then but I feel that it really isn’t in my nature to control outside of work.
Along with this question though, I do wonder how many Dom’s out there care to know how to get into a sub’s mind and soul, to try and find out what makes her tick, what scares her and what makes her beg for more but at the same time, what makes her want to always be better at serving him.
Ok so that’s two questions.

I was always curious as to why I liked the feeling of being tied up when I was younger.  Then one day when I was of for the summer in junior high I was watching T.V. and this movie came on that I will never forget.  Chained Heat 3.  It was about a female prison where the women were taken advantageof, chained, and shackled.  The only thing is I fantasized about me being taken advantage of and chained.  There was also I site I always went to that is no longer active.  www.lifeandmyworld.net/red/bond.html.  I think it moved or something, but the images there were simply amazing.  But yet again they were of girls being tied and tortured.  So I simply place myself in their position.  I have yet to find a site of femdom images that appeals to me.  If anyone knows of one let me know :P

Aroha -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/18/2008 4:03:47 PM)

I remember as a kid wanting to play games where I was tied up and rescued. When puberty hit those idas became fantasies about being tied up and sexually used. I guess I was always this way and am now glad that I get to express that side of myself.

stella41b -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/18/2008 5:30:53 PM)

I've also never seen 'The Story of O'.

My first discovery was at the age of 14 and reading a book called 'The XYZ of Love' by Stan and Inge Hegeller, books such as Nancy Friday's 'My Secret Garden', magazines such as 'Variations', 'Forum'. It all started from there...

MrFester -> RE: How did you find out about the BDSM lifestyle? (6/18/2008 5:39:45 PM)

Through a friend at work that told me I reminded her of her last master.  She directed me to it, and BLAU!!!  Amazing ever since.
