I guess perhaps I just put too much honor on my title and role to see someone claim to be a slave and then act out for hours on end.

My profile isn't domly enough to attract that sort of attention, but I have had the experience of talking to younger women (18 year olds and early 20's) on line in completely neutral, nonsexual ways, and found them to be very literate and sophisticated ... only to find when I met them in real life (again, in a neutral sort of situation) that they had those petulant little-girl voices and mannerisms that bugged the crap out of me.

It's because *your* view of what is appropriate for "*an* s-type" is not the same as another's view of what is appropriate for "*their* s-type".

What you see as others being bratty, etc, could be *exactly* what their owner wants from them. Or, if they're not owned, they can act any darned way they please.

RS -- been there, done that and like you learned some from it. My take is that it is really easy to romance and romanticise a picture, a profile -- hell if she has a nice voice, even a voice. It is a lot harder to make flesh and blood work. Online is easy; real time is hard.
