remember when it use to take 2 years before a movie would be on video after it got out of the theatre now its on video in 5 months

I remember yelling at my father's TransAm because it wouldn't talk to me like Kit from Knight Rider.

I remember my Knight Rider lunchbox.

I rememer the Snorks.

I remember Wacky Wall Walkers.

I remember being scared one day in kindergarten because a windstorm came and I thought it was a tornado.

I remember beating up a kid my first day in kindergarten because he took my seat.

I remember watching John Carpenter's "The Thing" long before most children my age could have handled it.

I remember my Rainbow Brite Halloween costume.

I remember going to the Base Exchange with my mother every weekend on the Vandenburg Air Force Base in California and getting a ginormous scoop of rainbow sherbet ice cream, whether I was good or not.

I remember when a "all day sucker" lasted ALL day.
I remember when we got soda for Christmas and birthdays only.
I remember when the 3 hours between getting off school and dinner lasted all day.
I remember when my parents got a tv.
I remember when Dr, Who was in black and white - and was the old man.

I remember seeing the kent state riot on the tv news.
I remember when Apollo 13 was trying to get home.
I remember when a transitor radio was the newest thing.
I remember when gas was 23.9 cents a gallon
I also remember when you didnt have to lock your doors at night.
I remember when it was just as acceptable to ride a horse to school as the bus and put the horse on a long lead and let him graze in the field behind the school.
I remember when no one said a damn thing about the fact you drove a pickup to school and had a 30/30 and double barrel hanging in a gunrack in the back window.
I remember when you were sent home if you had large holes in your blue jeans.
I remember when every guy in highschool had a six inch lockblade on his belt.
I remember when my high school biology teacher said she liked my black mustang stud. (horse, not car for you city folks)
I remember living in an old line cabin on our place cause dad and I always came to blows if we were in the same house.
I remember earning more money in a week than my dad by breaking and training horses. (you talk about pissing the old man off)

I remember when the remote control to the VCR had a 3 way switch (Stop, rewind and play) and it had a cord that plugged into the front of the vcr next to where the tape was

I remember being made to watch after school specials during school when we had substitute teachers

I rememer when being told you coulndt watch saturday morning cartoons was a severe punishment

Google hasn't crawled through my brain yet dc, it's a purely fictional currency denomination that just kind of sounded right in my head and I'm sure I've heard some old person say similar.

I remember when...

Jordache jeans and rainbow shirts were all the rage
Brooke Shields said, "Nothing comes between me and my Calvins" (not sure why I am on a designer jean reverie...but I digress...)
When we used to put "friendship pins" on the laces of our Nikey sneakers
When the movie "The Outsiders" served as the starting point for the "Brat Pack"
When Prince was known as Prince and then the "artist formerly known as" and then back to being just Prince again
When Calvin and Hobbes was a syndicated cartoon in the daily newspaper (I so loved that comic strip)
When we used to feather our hair
When we used to wear those feathers with roach clips in our hair
The Tuesday Night Line Up on ABC in the late 70's/early 80's: Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley and Three's Company
When there was no Starbucks
When the Apple computer was first intoduced in my 6th grade class
When Bono had long hair and looked so totally beautiful in the With or Without You video
When we thought it was cool to say "That's totally tubular!" and "Gag me with a spoon" (ok, so that last one might still sound cool depending on who is saying it...)
