An incident on the way into work this morning got me to thinking....if I could make just one Law that everyone in my country would have to abide by, what would it be?

For me it's easy - any tosspot who cuts up a driver by moving from the slow lane to the fast lane on a motorway, and then proceeds to travel SLOWER than the traffic in the slow lane for no good reason at all should be made to:

  • apologise on bended knee to everyone they caused to be delayed by their fuckwittery
  • sell their car and use a bicycle for at least one year
  • after this period be restricted to a maximum 100cc car until they have proved they have grown the hell up and can drive like a human being

What about you guys?

stereos and speakers should not be allowed to account for half the weight of the car, nor exceed decibels that can be heard outside of the car.

Failing to use a turn signal to indicate a lane change (or multi-lane change) should be punishable by having the offenders vehicle smashed to bits by the drivers it affected, without penalty to those affected drivers.

(oh yeah, I have plenty of ideas, but I have to go nap....)

any public offical acting outside the public good becomes the public's buggerboy for the rest term of office...with a set of checks and balances that actually people use to check and balance one another.

If for any reason your seat belt is dragging on the ground as you drive, creating sparks, loud noises, a visual distraction or just banging against said car

the owner of said car will be required to recieve 50 lashings with said seatbelt.

For every law that is passed, two laws of equal weight have to be repealed.

If anyone is caught driving for considerable distance with their turn signal on, without intent to turn at any point in time, yet causing all aruond them to keep their distance becasue we do not know IF they intend to turn or not... should have their license suspended untilsuch time that thay have their ears checked, learn to listen for their idiot clicker, and learn some road courtesy.

Not that im bitter about my drive home or anything

GT,
You've never driven on the highways in Southern California have you? Out here, using your turn signal to indicate a lane change actually triggers every driver in the lane you want to be in to speed up in an effort to prevent said lane change.

Anyone who listens to music on the tube, bus or similar which can be heard by others should have their musical device removed from them, then their ears removed from them.

Harsh but fair I feel.

I would like to make a law that says if you commit a Horrible Crime (Murder, Rape, Child Assult, Violent Maiming) reguardless of your Mental Faculty and you are witnessed by three or more people you get to go to the head of the line for the Death Sentence. No wait in Prison, No appeals, No Lengthy Trials, just IV and Nothing.

I know some people do not care for the death penalty but I believe that crime would drastically drop when people realize that if you kill we kill you back.

LOL Not in Houston! On Edgewood there is literally a mcdonalds next to a KFC next to a Long John Silvers, Across the Street from a Burgerking next to a gas station with a Churches Chicken etc...On this one part of Edgebrook - there is literally a stretch or rod about 8/10th of a mile long that is nothing but fast food resteraunts LOL

Now as for the law I would pass - I would require a license to breed with a minimum IQ to be able to obtain it. I was talking about this with a co-pilot yesterday about a specific woman we sometimes work with... We were basically talking about how scary it is that she is one misplaced cumshot away from motherhood. (The woman in question forgot to take her clothes out of the washer and literally left them there till they grew mushrooms, almost killed her dog cause she didnt realize they need water too, and needed stitches and rabies shots because she picked up a "cat" that was hit in the street - and the cat turned out to be a wild possum. The scary thing is her boyfriend, makes her look brilliant! So definitely my law would be "stupid people cannot breed"

Hmmmmmmmm.... what ONE law would I make/put on the books?

Mandantory IQ testing, psych eval, genetic testing prior to being issued a licence to reproduce.  Licencing to be based on factors such as inate ability to learn (as opposed to actual educational level) known genetic flaws/defects (which would have excluded me from reproduction, but that frankly wouldn't have bothered me) and socialization/psych issues (keep the ones who have a criminal or victim mentality from reproducing to raise more of the same.)

Harsh?  Perhaps, but it's a crowded lil mudball we live on, and getting more overpacked by the year.

I say, everybody gets one free murder. You don't have to use it, but the option is there. Once you turn 18, you're issued a pistol, with a serial-numbered bullet, the proverbiial get-out-of-jail-free-card. You'd have to save up for something good, obviously. This would probably solve most of the problems already listed above, but it would make elective office an unhealthy profession. Not that that's a bad thing...

Let me simplify that.

ALL Laws expire after 1 year. If it's a GOOD law, the legislature will re-enact it. If it's a BAD law, they just go away...
