Once the local library gets finished being rebuilt, I'll see if I can get a hold of it

Look for the short story collection The Beast That Shouted Love at the Heart of the World (where it was first collected), The Essential Ellison, or the graphic novel adaption, Vic and Blood (with art by Richard Corben).

Oooh! Good one!

How about William Shatner in an episode of The Twilight Zone where he was a passenger on an airplane and he went nuts watching a monster on the wing yanking at the engine.

that's one of my favorite TZ episodes!

And speaking of TZ... Agnes Morehead, prior to her TV stardom.. if I'm not mistaken, she'd already made her name in theater.

Thanks, faerytattoodgirl, for the details on that episode. A lot of famous actors were on the Twilight Zone before they were famous.

James Earl Jones as one of the B52 crew in Dr. Strangelove

Here are two I learned about when they were being interviewed on Letterman or some other show -- of course the host played the clips to goof on them:

Jeff Goldblum was one of the punks in Death Wish who raped the wife and daughter of Charles Bronson

Bill Paxton was one of the punks in The Terminator who met the naked Arnold right after he came through the time portal and then got killed when he wanted their clothes

and here's a fascinating bit of trivia about Bill Paxton (from his IMDB bio): "Is the only person to be "killed" by a Terminator (The Terminator), an alien (Aliens) and a Predator (Predator 2)."

Shoot, I thought this was about the stars of the Holly and Potty show!

How about Demi Moore? She played Jackie Templeton on General Hospital (Damnnnn, skeered that I remember her character's name)

Samuel L Jackson was in a Troma film called Def by Temptation. Actually, I notice Troma has alot of actors before they made it big.
