Writer- that was the first book ever that made me cry when I was 9.

Movies that always get me- Steel Magnolias is definitely one, City of Angels, American Beauty

The Shawshank Redemption. "Brooks was here" gets me every time. I have to watch it alone.

If we are talking about books too, "Love Story" made me cry, flip back a few pages, and cry again. Not so with the movie.

I forgot about that one, how about Memphis Bell?  The ending isnt sad, but you cant help getting emotional when they actually make it back....

Even though in truth the Memphis Bell completed her final mission with no injured crewmembers, no severe battle damage, and 3 weeks later was flown back to the states to begin the warbond tours....

Anyone have dry eyes watching "The Champ"?
Either version - both total tearjerkers.

DomAviator -> RE: Are you crying?? (7/1/2008 9:17:35 PM)

Adding another one that I cannot believe I totally forgot that but is a real tear jerker.. The best dramatic movie ever made"

Leaving LasVegas

The whole thing is so sad that it will drive you to drink, but the ending scene where they finally had sex as he died... and her talking about it to the shrink. OMG what a tragedy. Imagine two self destructive people that much in love, but still unable to save each other... Seriously, the movie was so sad that Britt finished almost a whole bottle of Tequila watching it....

Missokyst -> RE: Are you crying?? (7/1/2008 9:27:31 PM)

The only movie that ever made me cry was Pay it Forward with Haley Joel Osment, Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt.
I dislike sappy love stories or movies where you know the dog/cat/bear, ect,  will die before you watch.  That kid is such a good actor it felt like he was mine.
I have to be alone to watch it.  It makes me cry every time.

I cry at any sad movie or book.

The ones I can think of off the top of my head are:

City of Angels (at the end when Meg Ryan's character dies)
Million Dollar Baby
The Notebook
Titanic
Gladiator (when his wife and son's feet are shown hanging and at the very end)
My Girl
The Green Mile

Level -> RE: Are you crying?? (7/2/2008 2:59:21 AM)

The graveyard scene at the end of Saving Private Ryan.

for me its probably easier to think of those that don't make me cry!  i have been known to cry at certain commercials on tv... and some songs on the radio....my goodness!

Titanic
Milliondollar Baby
The Notebook
Schindlers List
honestly, those are the biggest that i remember recently but i know there are more.
