fast reply-- my best friend is kinky and was my domme for awhile. we ended up realizing that i needed/wanted more physical play than what i was getting with her so she 'gave' me to my current dom (it's sort of funny she gave him permission to take me, i thought it was cute but maybe you had to be there).

But, even when i did have a best friend, of the non-amorous type, i never discussed my sex life with any of them and they didn't discuss theirs with me. It never came up in conversation. We just never felt a need to "share" with each other what we were experiencing and doing with other people. ALL of my friends & family know about my lifestyle choice.. Those whom i would consider my best friends are "kinky" themselves. Quite simply, if they weren't, we couldn't be that close.. It requires a great amount of openness and understanding for me to reach that point with a person.

FR Yes my two best friends know and they are as vanilla as you can get! I have used them as safe calls in the past and they tend to have an ask no questions and you wont get freaked out policy with me I think [:D]

All of my friends know I'm a pain slut, they know I'm also a submissive towards certain types of women. My best friend is also rather kinky, although she isn't into BDSM like I am. She does know that I love to be hurt though My friends wouldn't be my friends if they didn't know me on my deepest levels. Nothing about me is a surprise to them to be honest. bashful

I understand where you're coming from pompeii. Ironically, some of my best friends in bdsm have been very Christian. One friend I directed to various resources on bdsm and Christianity, another (that I've played with) was raised as a Christian missionary in Mexico and Central America and her faith is probably still stronger than her kink. I've recently made an acquaintance who's a minister and while she's made it clear that kink ain't her thing, she has tons of questions about it.

My best friend knows some of my kinky likes, but not all of them. I've been longing to find someone (besides my SO) about my kinks, but I've never found a friend I think that I would tell everything to, or even almost everything to. I envy those people who have open minded friends.

As one gets older you begin to place friends in categories. So to answer the question, best friends always know, but associates know very little, those so-called friends who like to be shocked, I shock them. And those who are closed minded friends, we go to the Olive Garden. I am true to myself and although not completely understanding my D/s community in the state I live. I am happy with anyone knowing.

my best female friend (vanilla) knows that i am submissive to Him but she doesn't know why and cannot understand it...i have never felt it necessary to explain the dynamics of the relationship to her or anyone else because it is vanilla enough most of the time. at times feel like i am defending Him against her thoughts about Him. He is never blaringly obvious about the dynamics between us...it is subtle but i guess obvious enough that you can tell who the 'boss' is! i am a strong, take charge woman but when with Him i do not behave the way she knows me...and she doesn't like it. as long as she supports me as a friend and allows me to do the same, its all good! :)

All of my friends know, i have never done much to hide who and what i am. They can either accept me as i am, or not, the choice is theirs. If my interests are too much for them, i hold no anger or animosity, i can understand that to some it can be offputting. For the most part though, i have not run into friends that walk away because i'm "different" It is just part of my... charm. [8\|]
