LOL!  It's from Firefly and Serenity, a young lady who has been mentally altered to be a little killing machine...

LOL!  At one point in time, just falling in parts of the Rouge River was enough to kill someone from all the toxic waste that had been dumped in it!  Sounds close enough to a killing machine to me!

I know that many people said to avoid a target date and to have the conversation when the time was right, I hope that if this has already happened that it went well. I know I would appreciate an update when the time is right and when you feel like it.

Fingers still crossed for you.

Sorry for the spelling. It's been an ineresting week. Thanks again to everyone for their great advice, intrest, and support.

To paraphrase, no plan survives it's implementation. In retrospect the timing was not great. My efforts at directing our conversation were consistenly redirected as were my efforts to set the conversation in more agreeable settings.

There was no "black box" but my initial effort cratered badly. I was describing her dominant attributes that I admire and my efforts to make her life easier and how fulfilling it is for me to please her. The conversation was diverted for ~ 45 minutes on mostly unrelated topics and then She lept forward and blurted "You want to be tied down and beaten?" I stammered that that was roughly in the ballpark. And that was the end of our first talk.

The next morning she woke me up climbed on top of me and held my arms over my head and we both had a wonderful time. We've revisited our Conversation a couple of times. She's very much latched onto the sex / play aspect of D/s but is still ruminating on other aspects of they dynamic. I'm still doing laundry, doing dishes, running errands, clearing the honey do list, massages, foot rubs, etc. and it fits her like a glove. She is so dom but doesn't seem to see it. She was laying on the couch and I was rubbing her feet and she was talking. I got up and got her a glass of wine. She reached toward me and took the glass as she continued talking as I continued to rub her feet. She never broke her cadence, never looked at me and never said anything about the wine. It was as natural for her to expect those things from me as her taking a breath.

I may have awoken a sleeping giant. lol

How did the conversation go? I swear I have no idea.Good? Maybe?

It sounds like you're off to a hopeful start, at least! As for the "sleeping giant" comment, remember the old Chinese curse - "may you get  what you wish for"!

Keep up the good work, and remember to go slow.

*laugh* You know, as BDSM shows up more and more (even if highly inaccurately represented) in the media, I suspect there will be a lot more reactions like this.
She'll probably crash at some point, and you'll want to be ready to help her when that happens; right now (I'd guess), she's not thinking, she's just doing, which is a totally valid way to explore, but when she DOES start thinking...that's when all the stuff you have ready should still be ready for her.
Good luck!

It seems to be a promising start. Congratulations on having the conversation and best wishes for continued happy times! I think it would be a good idea to have regular conversations to check in about how she is feeling as she tries new things--what she liked, and when she is not as sure.

Cheers,

Sea

Woohoo!

Terms,
It sounds to me as though you got a lot more from your conversation, brief as it was, than you expected!  As was said beforehand, she very likely already knew what you wanted and needed.  Keep up the good work and I suspect you'll be further rewarded.

God I wish more sub men in vanilla relationships took this approach.

Yeah, be honest about your motivations.  Your motivation is that you fucking love her.  Don't make it a "I've been keeping a big secret from you all these years" thing.  Make it a "I've come to some realizations about how I could be a better husband, and I find myself really hungry for it.  It's something that's been building in me for many years."  You are adding to the relationship, to make it even healthier.

Wives know stuff, even if they don't want to admit it to themselves.  I bet she knows you cruise that pervo CollarMe web site, for example.  Sicko.

Good luck.  I am sure you both will do fine.

Yeah, what he said.  This is not a "problem", it's an "opportunity"... no really.

5:pm I'm home from work early at and call Her to see what She would like for dinner. She's got the kids and has been stuck in traffic for an hour.

5:15 She comes in the door, dinner is cooking on the stove. Hummus, pita points, and a glass of white wine are waiting for Her on the kitchen table. She sits in front of the computer and I feed her pita and hummus and get her a glass of ice water because She's thirsty.

5:20 She's on the couch, watching the weather channel. She sips wine while I gently massage her temples and forehead.

5:22: Zzzzzzz. She's napping....I finish cleaning the kitchen, start a load of laundry and finish dinner.

Bwahahahah! My evil plan continues to unfold!

Hmm. I checked both sides of the napkin and that's not part of the Evil Plan. (I said the plan unfolds). The plan *is* sugject to revision as needs arise ;-)

Thank you LadyHibiscus! I think I'm doing something right!

Terms,
I'm so happy for you!!! I knew that once you got over the initial awkward conversation things could only get better. And your wife sounds like a great Domme (maybe just doesn't know it yet).
All my best,
Allie
