Here in the UK circumcision is pretty rare. I read somewhere that it's about 12%, and to be honest I'm surprised it's that high. As far as I know, the only significant number of men/boys who get circumcised are Jews and Muslims. But in the US an 'uncut penis' seems to be a rarity. Wikipedia tells me that circumcision rates are 75%. Presuambly the US doesn't have a population made up of 75% Jews and Muslims, so why is there so much circumcision there?

It's safer, easier, and less painful on newborns that it is on grown adult men. My father was circumcized when he was in his 60's due to common slow rates of healing and increased infections that are common in aging men. It was horrible for him! Mom likes the looks of it better now. (By the way, they deliberately CHOSE to have both their sons circumcized after they were born.) There is a statistically significant, but slight, higher risk of transmitting sexual diseases to woman when a man is uncircumcized. But, hey, caring for women's health isn't much of a priorty to some cultures -- (rolls eyes !) Personally, I am not at all interested in giving oral to a man who is NOT circumcized. It's that stuff... what's it called??? That ooze to lubricate the inside of the foreskin --____- Schmec or something --starts with an "s"... No ! Not "semen" or "sperm" -- it is yukky stuff! smells bad -- tastes worse! Bitter ...they say.... That's why I don't care to go that way. I've yet to see a "turtlenecked" penis. Crewneck ones are so nice -- that cute rimmed edge... like a cap of a mushroom -- But without any of that "fungus" !! LOL

The cock thing again... I just love these convo's! Okay... as far as I know... no cock should taste dirty and nasty. If the man is clean... there shouldn't be any of that ukky stuff. When I asked about it here in the states, I was told it was easier to keep them clean and that is why they circumsized. What's the big deal of pulling it back and cleaning it? One washes behind thier ears don't they? I don't mind a clean one and if he is uncut... well... once you start playing, that skin is pulled back and it looks like an uncut one from what I have seen. I am no expert, but these things wouldn't be an issue with the men I have been with that were uncut.

Seems to mostly be mostly for asthetic reasons. For me personally, cut or uncut i have no set preference, both are fun to play with [;)]

Way back in the early 80's when I was producing male heirs, we were told that it's better for them to do it as an infant, it's easier for them to keep it clean and free of infections, that this way they wouldn't feel humiliated in the locker room if their penis was "different" from the other boys', or for that matter, from their father's....it's just what we did. Hygiene and Humilation were the two big reasons. My then-husband's cousin's wife, very much the "earth mother" type who had her babies at home and breast-fed until they were in school, I think [&:], (she even buried their placentas in the yard and planted trees over them!) had a feasible rebuttal for each one of those reasons. Of course, she didn't circumcize her male heirs. I chose to circ my two, but I agonized over it and felt terrible. But, they both tell me that they are glad I did it. Not that we have that sort of discussion frequently....[8\|]

Well, am untrimmed, thought about it younger days never got around to it, I have never had a compaint about tasting bad or smelling bad, it's called washing, I take daily showers sometimes a couple a day and always pull foreskin back and wash! That easy, if you find a penis smelling bad, means the owner doesnt have good personal hygene and should bath more often!.
