I think the issue with the use of the term BBW is...it does apply to some people. And who are we to say that a certain person does not have the right to express the opinion that they themselves are beautiful? This sort of self-affirmation is called "self esteem", and it is crucial to emotional and physical health.
You do not have to agree with anyone else's opinion, including the majority opinion, about who is beautiful and who is not. There are many men and women who are considered beautiful by the masses who are not too attractive to me personally, for example. But truly, I feel it is rude and morally wrong to try and tear away someone else's self-esteem with no cause.
You should never feel obligated to say anything negative about another person's appearance unless they are PERSONALLY hitting you up for sex. At which point you are permitted a courteous "I am sorry, but I am not attracted to you." Anything more is really just unnecessary cruelty. It's not the way we would want to be treated ourselves, if the positions were reversed.
Anyhoo. I like ripe curvaceous women and prefer them over thin women. I like being ripe and curvaceous myself, for that matter. I am sure my body can and will be improved by adding more muscle and flexibility to get more Frazetta-like pulchritude, though. That's my goal for next year! [:D]
I am enjoying this thread too much NOW! I laughed so hard when reading this, thinking about some of the people I work with. There are "interesting looking" people at my job I wouldn't allow to touch me with a 10 foot pole from across the room. I mean they are thin, petite (size 0-4), have faces and attitudes that could put the SPCA out of business.
