Hang in there Miriah,
I've met quite a few subs who very much prefer BBW's.
You're right about there being a lot who want the "Barb Wire" stereotype, but there are a few who enjoy being dominated by a physically imposing Mistress.

Too be completely honest I don't think that body weight has much to do with anything.
I belive everyone looks for an excuse to they're problems. They need comfort in normalicy so they wish to be something that fits the norm.

Naturally the norm of these days is that beautiful for a women means you are a size zero, with long hair, a great set of knockers and absolutly no improfections.

But if you were to wake up and smell the roses, you would realize that no body is perfect. Skinny people want to be fat, Fat people want to be skinny. Ugly people want to be pretty and pretty people want to be Ugly.

No matter how you get around it, Even the queen of england takes a dump. So why not be happy with who are are. And if others don't like it, understand that you are looking in the wrong places.

For every one person who likes you 9 million will wish death upon you. Don't try to change it, embrace the fact that atleast in those 9 million enemies you STILL have a friend.

Miriah, if you've met subs who stop communicating with you instantly then they're not 'great subs'.

I'm over 6 ft tall and I'm a large woman, and I've never had any problems talking to or meeting submissive men.

I'm very open about My size to begin with, so I don't run into the situation of a man 'finding out' about My size.

If you're BBW then identify yourself as BBW on your profile and the wasp-waist fetishists won't take you down that disappointing garden path to begin with.

Be who and what you are, celebrate yourself every day.  Take care of your hair, your dress, your appearance, no matter the size.

The men who aren't attracted to you are the ones you're better off without.

Oh that's not true.  There are tons of men who like BBW Dommes.  The key is to be open and upfront about it in your profile and from the very beginning.  Tell them exactly how big you are.  The ones that cannot deal with it will leave you alone and you'll escape a lot of misogyny and fat hatred from the getgo.  I'm a very large woman and the only problem that I have in finding subs is in finding the ones that are nearest to me.  There's lots of men who want to meet, but I don't like casual one time hookups.  In order to have some sort of more meaningful connection, I look for people who are 45 minutes or less driving distance away from me so that it isn't a total inconvenience to meet.

I prefer larger women, women with curves, over the "heroin chic" look that everyone strives for these days.  But thats MY preference, and not a generalization of what all male subs want. Good luck in your search, I'm sure you're "one" is out there somewhere. Utah is a beautiful state, and I'm sure some lucky sub would be willing to relocate to be with you.

Madam, I invest three to four hours a day in my body, varying from pumping iron to swimming running and a host of other high energy output competitive sports. I ride a harley, sail almost daily and am an avid mountain climber and skydiver. Of course, I prefer a highly active hard bodied woman in my life.
For me the highly active hard bodied woman gifted with both intellect and intelligence is a preference predicated upon the passionate competitive natural forces raging within me and has absolutely nothing at all to do with viewing the fuller figured woman as less or undesirable. The quality of content in a woman’s character is not determined by her dress size, or her financial successes or failures but the quality of content in those being rude to you, is self-evident and you should view them as requiring no further evaluation.

I am not a BBW, but consider myself a full figured woman.  I have been beautiful inside and out at 150#, at 200# and at my highest 260#.  Back to 200# I am still beautiful inside and out!

I come to this discussion LONG after it started.  When I joined Collarme, I initially "fudged" on the weight I listed on my profile.  I quickly changed it to my actual weight.  Why the hell was I fudging???  The guys are going to find out for heaven's sake !!!

I've become frustrated with the subs/slaves who list "height/weight proportionate" on their profiles.  It irks me, I admit.  So now - I just "hide user" their profiles - they don't want me?  I don't have to look at them. <g>

I've gotten into a few long messaging bouts with one or two who are very animate about their preference, but always seem to end with "to each his/her own".  The fights aren't worth it - and only waste time as prejudice is prejudice and cannot be changed.  Maybe - someday - a bbw Domme will get her hands of "him" and teach him her worth.  Who knows?

Anyway - I'm glad to see you list your weight on your profile.  Those who don't want to deal with it - won't.  I've met with at least 15 slaves during my 7 months as a Domme - never ONE word about my size - from any of them.  They seem to look at my Dominant qualities rather than my size.

Take care - and hang in here - there really ARE many subs/slaves who SEEK bbws.

She is big and beautiful, that's for sure.  If you don't mind telling the story (again for the 10000th  time, I'm sure), I'd love to hear it.  But we should probably take it to email cuz the ladies seem to not like having their thread cluttered with a fish story.  [:D]

acctonthelook: I am terribly sorry you took offense.  I think BBWs are positively lovely -- some of the sexiest people I've known are BBWs.  I was simply amazed at the fish in Dan's avatar and had to say something because I was genuinely curious about it.

MY SINCERE APOLOGIES THEN.  I did not read it correctly and thank for clarifying it.  I just get so upset when someone is unkind to large ppl or anyone for that matter.  Not because I've been heavy my whole life but because the larger the person the more hurt and degrading others seem to be towards them. I am a kind person and just hate seeing others get put down or hurt.

Ps.  When I find the right Dom for me I will find this tread and ask for help in the way I overreacted!  Why does rudeness set me off so much??  Why, Why, Why?
Poor Dom has a lot of work, whoever that may be? LOL
