But don't sit there on yer ass when you don't know me or my son and call him a brat when you don't know us and never will. When you haven't seen the medical reports, you haven't met him, you haven't lived with him, you're not his doctor or his parent. When you can do one or all of those things, THEN feel free to call him a brat. [:D]

smeewches rain that was a good thread you started, rain. what we do isn't easy to start with, and for someone that hasn't been in our shoes he has alot of nerve saying children (or adults) with autism are brats is wrong.

yeah, there's a few of us here that feel that way. The responsibility that goes with it may not be something we chose, but it is a responsibility that some of us have embrace whole-heartedly.

what gets me is this is an educated person (doesn't he hold a Ph.D?) and there are many who take what he says to heart. So...i am raising a brat and blowing his behavior, as well as my poor parenting, off to Autism? OH PLEASE!!!
