I like my subs to get the references I make. I dont want to feel like I should " dumb myself down" to communicate with them. I have gone to college, and earned 2 degrees. I eventually plan on getting my PhD in Psychology. I am, at this time, a year and a half away from it. That includes the time alotted for the Thesis. . I took time off to actually feel like I have a life again. All work and no play makes for a series of many a bad days.

Hey Steel, as you know..assholes can be found at every intellectual level. On this topic I agree with Stacey. I live outside of DC and can run with a pretty intellectual crowd. It’s not a bad thing to have men fear me. Actually it’s a great way to practice BDSM in the vanilla world.

I definitely prefer intelligent women, and you might even say intellectual, but there are different types of intelligence, and it's not something that's as easy to measure as some people think. It's also not the most important thing to me. But, suffice it to say that there are levels beneath which lack of intellect could become a deal killer. And no high level of intelligence can make up for a complete lack of attraction, or other basic incompatibility.

My subs or slaves HAVE to be on par with me. They will be more knowlegable than I am in some subjects. They will be less so in others. However, if they are not intelligent enough to realize where they might need to learn, or obtuse enough to pretend to know everything there is, I will lose interest quickly. Not ALL intelligence is attractive. Just becasue someone is smart doesnt make them more appealing if they have a shit attitude or a holier than thou take on everything. Looks can come and go, but attitude and intelligence are in for the long haul. Someone can be drop dead gorgeous and either dumber than a rock or smart and stuck up about it and I am done. DV

I prefer intelligent men and women. I can't handle feeling like I am taking advantage of someones lack of understanding. I used to give people I was arguing with, the response they should have used to prove their point, when they couldn't hold up their end. It tends to piss off a pissed off person when I am supplying both sides. They seem to feel left out.

It isn't the outer form that makes a person attractive to Me or not. Sure, a pleasing physical shape helps, but that isn't the end of it. and I agree with Stacey on this point. Many men are just plain intimidated by a female they preceive as more intelligent. Personally, I always go for brains. 1. It's the beginning. 2. If women went for brains I wouldn't have been single for so long.

the dumbest people are often the fastest to voice their intelligence (or lack of) and the smartest often silenced by dickheads. .... If a woman is ugly no amount of intelligence will make me want to 'have relations' with her. As shallow as it sounds, intelligence is sexy, but ugly is ugly. Sure it will make me respect her more and accept her more, value her more and so forth. But I won't dip my dick in her. A stupid woman who is attractive, I will still go to bed with even if she's dumb as dog shit, but then I will respect her less as a person. How ever, as I said previously which I can't find now because it looks as though it's been deleted, some people, might appear dumb and even speak dumb, but actually hold incredible intelligence. I've seen amazingly beautiful women, who've opened their mouthes and made me think "what a stupido", only to tell me they're studying something far more mentally challenging then anything I could ever take on. Don't confuse stupidity for personality. But intelligence is attractive in an attractive woman, especially when she is intelligent enough to know that her brains alone won't cut it. Of course we can all say "beauty is skin deep" and all that crap. But it's not. If your physically unpleasant, then your physically unpleasant. Unfortunately, alot of the time intelligent woman are beautiful because they've been smart enough to make themselves beautiful. I've seen alot of stupid woman, who have been VERY, well, ugly. (I'm sorry to use the term but as you can see, I'm demonstrating my own ignorance and can't find a more politically correct term.), and these woman, it seems are so desperate to be accepted as beautiful, that they do stupid things like marry the first man who comes their way so they can show off to their pretty friends that they were first to get married and avoid the 30 and single trap that so many people of today fall into. .... All the pretty woman are sitting there saying "what a dick head" though because they know her motives, and know that she will probably be in the 50% of marriages that end in divorces. In conclusion, personally, intelligence IS sexy. I can't imagine myself with a woman dumber than me. (Though she'd have to be pretty stupid to pick me.) BUT!. Intelligence is only sexy when a woman is smart enough to accompany it with physical pride and beauty. ... Sounds shallow, is shallow, but thats reality.
