If you go into something expecting things, best thing I can tell ya is to expect the unexpected. But for the most part..try not to expect anything, just go with the flow. LadyPact is right...Offering to help out at events is a good way to get to know people. I locked myself away for 10 years...was only around my slave and family. Over that 10 years, I developed a anxiety of people, got to where I couldn't stand to be around coweds. If I did..I would get real uneasy, start sweating a lot and a lot of times, would become so overwhelmed i'd pass out. Not a good thing to happen. The lady i'm with now...she's been helping me overcome that anxiety. Getting me around people, i've been getting to know others and can now ge into small groups without passing out. The more I go out, the better I get. I help out at each event I go to and find it very rewarding and it allows me to meet others. Although places I go at the moment are totally vanilla..:P i'm still getting to the point that once I start getting back into going to munches...i'll be able to go without fear. Good luck to you and your future and may you meet a whole new world of friends.
