landlines and cells are both working. you guys are the best! i was blessed to not lose my landline and was able to contact and be contacted by those close to me.

wow...Rain...what year was that 79 or80 the end of oct or nov? i was in Humboldt county at the time...we had just finished our home sorta (that home was never finished) and had a lot of people staying with us. major road damage, bridges collapsing, buildings crumbling. so amazing peoples resilience in the wake of natural disasters.

When the family was finally able to get through to her to tell her we were all alive and survived a major earthquake, her response was "oh, you had a earthquake? Well, I survived the '06 one..."
