When your Master or Mistress orders you to do something dangerous, or something with lasting effect, but also something you feel they normally wouldn't ask you to do, do you obey them? If they are drunk, inebriated or otherwise in an altered state, at what point do you say "Mistress wouldn't normally wish this of me, it must be the booze talking" ?

curious,

The prime directive in our relationship is that I am the caretaker of his property. I am expected to maintain my safety and health in all aspects; including physically, mentally, spiritually, ethically, etc. This prime directive requires that I decline any command that would endanger myself. To date, I have never had to invoke the prime directive as I service an ethical Master. However, there is a safety net in place per his orders.

I've been told I don't have to follow his orders if he gets crazy or drugged up or something. I consider drunk to be a variation of drugged, and I wouldn't play if I thought him even tipsy...alright, I would, I'm easy to seduce. But if I considered his judgement impared, I'd keep the play to something relatively hard to screw up.

On a personal level, I do not know that I could/ would serve anyone who getting " crazed or drugged up" was a pertinent out for me in service to them!

Maggi, I commend you and your partner on your common sense. That's a great aproach.

Cheryl,  I don't care whether people call themselves a slave, a sub, a switch, a dom, a sadomasochist, a grand poobah, or a piece of garbage...Everyone has to take adult responsibility for their life.

YOU are always going to have to live with the consequences of your actions, so act wisely. That's the best advice I can give you.

It's your life. Personally, I'd prefer somebody who had enough common sense to know when I'm not in full control of my faculties and act accordingly.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FINDING THE RIGHT ANSWER

1. Find a concrete wall (any concrete wall).

2. Facing the wall (i.e. looking at it) place hands shoulder height either side of your body on the wall.

3. Now, imagining you are a woodpecker without a beak, hit your forehead against the concrete wall.

4. Don't worry about the stars. They fade quickly.

5. Repeat until you are sure you know the right answer.

It is always best to keep acoholic or any mind altering drugs out of a BDSM scene. Would you want me to flog you after I had three or four drinks?  I would also tie you up on a Saint Andrews cross if I could get you attached by the time I had my fourth drink.  Then no telling what I would be doing by the next drink.  Oh yes, let's drive hone btw.
No one should ever expect their sub/slaves to submit under these conditions.  It is very unsafe and plain out bizzare.

Regards, MissSCD

I would like to add, that some people refuse to 'play' drunk.  I myself do not drink when engaged in anything sexual.  Alcohol does bad things to a penis.

If you feel that being impared of any kind is not a safe way for you to play... then don't do it. Its really not that hard to figure out.I would never do anything that would put me in harms way and my Master would never allow that to happen as well. You aren't supposed to harm what you hold dear..... for any reason.... Just my two cents.... and I guess my answer would be a big NO!!!

Peace

I would not choose to be with someone master or not, who made it a habit to be out of his mind regularly or drunk regularly. I'm flat out not interested in drug users or more than social or casual drinkers.

I like to play buzzed.  Believe it or not, people don't always get so completely wacked that they can't control themselves.  Sometimes a nice mellow buzz heightens everything just perfectly.  Some people will feel comfortable playing like this.  Some won't.
