It's difficult for me to try to imagine my reaction in the context in which you laid the scene out because I wouldn't ever be involved in such a scene with someone that I didn't know well. If that makes me not a "heavy player" and places me in the "fantasy role player" category in someone's eyes...oh well. But I would guess that if it played out exactly as you said with someone that I didn't really know or have any trust in...and I didn't consent to having this "unkown" person involved in that scene...the only thing that I can foresee him finding out about my "strength" in this "test of my submission" is that I am strong enough to beat the dogsnot out of him the moment I'm released.

I agree with what you have said erin. The one thing I wanted to add - is that for me (what I have highlighted in red) is in reverse. This sort of scene to me is fantasy role play. I can take or leave it - but if it is supposed to be some sort of test (not that the OP made that clear or not) it's one based only on fantasy(and for me, not a very good one - it is kind of yawn inspiring - but that is personal preference hey - We prefere more reality based pain, edgeplay and suchshit). No way does it reflect how heavy a player someone is. At least not in our world. Not that fantasy doesn't have it's place, but this particular scenario just didn't reflect much perversity or attraction, let alone control. And I do like to feel control over me.

dark, you are absolutely right. The whole scene as described is what I would consider to be a "fantasy role play" scene. I don't know what the rest of the scene was like but the whole "falling" thing would really only be good for a momentary "Oh shit!" if it happened within my relationship. But as I said...if it was with someone I didn't know I think that a whole bunch of other expletives would follow...

I agree with dark, nothing about control, just a head game and not a very "submission inspiring" one at that.

If it's going to be a really edgy mind fuck I would rather set something up that gave her physical control over what she THOUGHT was potentially life threatening. And telling her to "pull the trigger", not knowing for sure whether or not the proverbial gun was loaded. Only trusting me, and my care of her. Her fear telling her not to, her trust and submission driving her to that "edge".

So let me make sure I get this correct

She's never met this guy before, has no history on him other than his words and those of his buddies. This kind of thing has always seemed sooooo pathetic to me. You're already the dominant in this situation, the submissive's agreed to play along -- and *this* is how you show your power over her??? How on earth is that "a test of submission"? If it really happened the way you described it, she didn't know what was about to transpire and didn't submit to it. It's no more a test of submission than walking down the street and unexpectedly twisting your ankle. A test of submission is when a sub knows exactly what she is getting into and fully accepts it.

I'm in the "anti-test" camp. First off, in general I think if you need to test it you haven't really inspired it and particularly if you've got to be sneaky about it. I can remember high school boys "testing" their girlfriends by sending them fake love letters by other people. It strikes me as the same immature crap and doesn't speak of self-confidence - something I prize highly in an owner.
