As long as the gun had a safety trigger, it was perfectly safe.  The only mind fuck in that scenario is whether or not he had the safety on, if it were me I'd relax and go for the ride, secure in the belief that the answer was yes.

theres a flaw in this theory and in this trial.
a person, who completely gets off on this kind of play, isn't automatically going to be someone who wants to serve ( as in slave or submissive ) or submit.  They could just be into serving their own kink and edgy selves  yanno?  And I am NOT saying there is anything wrong with that.  There are "bottoms" bottoming to Tops who put them through mindfucks in public dungeons all over the country ( and world) and contentedly going about their business.  I'm familiar with that, use to be into that myself.... geez!!   but  THAT is not the scenario that was given  nor the dynamic that was described.  Nor the intentions of the "observor" and the one being judge and jury of the sincerity  & genuine nature of the one being mindfucked.
 
Take away the ds or bdsm elements and
its just a guy in a bar  picking up a girl  and judging whether or not she goes home with you to FUCK just because you ask>> and judging whether or not she is someone who can/will be intimate and/or emotionally commit to an intimate relationship soley by her answer of yes or no to that request ( demand even ) & whether or not shes a good lay>> issssss wishful thinking..one doesn't necessarily go with the other.  That might be part of your personal criteria...I get that.....but not an indication or guarantee of emotional availability....imo.

Sounds like a variation of one of the mindfucks in my book, The Loving Dominant.

I can’t take credit for the last example of a “Wow Mindfuck.”  It took place in a gay playspace/bar between two very experienced player who were in an established relationship.  The dominant pretended to be a bit tipsy and took an arranged “bet” with a co-conspirator that his submissive had “balls of steel.”  The submissive found himself naked in a cargo net hoisted about three feet in the air.  This may have been fun, but then the dominant brought out a rack of 24 beer bottles, placed them under the net and proceeded to break each with a hammer, leaving what amounted to a rug of glass knives under his disconcerted submissive.  The dominant then reached through the mesh and put a blindfold on the submissive.  The net shook and got a bit looser.  The dominant was cutting one cord after another.  The club’s dungeon master came over and protested that the scene was too risky only to be told by the dominant that he knew what he was doing.  One cord after another was cut, and the submissive was trying desperately to hang on with his fingers and toes.  Finally, he fell… onto one of the pads the bar kept handy for “other activities.”  As soon as the blindfold had gone on, the rack of broken bottles had been removed, and the confrontation with the dungeon master had been playacted.

Oui, most definately.

Erin, thank you for your story. That is the type of thing that tells me of a dominant and submissive.

The sword thing, to me, was more of a shallow grandstanding top, performing mediocre magic tricks. "Oh look at me, aren't I special!?!?"

Your story shows a man that cares and prepares. He was focused on you and creating something special between the two of you. Not on providing a show in the name of making a woman "prove" herself.

I will counter with the same response as I did with the sword scene.  What sub would actually believe this scenario was going to be allowed to be enacted through to the terrible culmination that they are being led to believe that it will?

There is a huge difference John in the scene you described. Two very experienced players in an established relationship. I am fairly certain that you wouldn't endorse such a scene if it was done as a first play date to "test submission" and determine if they could put their money where their mouth was ....or if they were "just a guppy who couldn't swim with the sharks".

Just strikes me as much more meanful.
