I wanna know how all these 18/19/20 year olds are "experianced Masters/Mistresses" and the amout that call themselves "slaves".  Who trained them? Who mentored them? Where did they get thier knowledge? Someone PLEASE tell me.

Well, I've recently been wondering...all the doms/Masters here who have like 25+ years in the "lifestyle" and all the sub/slaves who are relatively new...I can't for the life of me figure out how the doms/Masters got their experience.  And no one I've asked has been able to tell me.

Well, I'm 23.

My first trainer was named Osiris, he was part of a larger group, each member took a role in my "training".

I'm no longer a slave.  (At least, I don't consider myself one.)

They taught me how to bottom, they taught me how to top, they taught me slavery, they taught me service.

Does that answer your question?

You do realize that many start long before they turn 18, plus many of all ages don't buy into the open, public, social bdsm scene (nor even is there one many places)?  Same as with many of those in their 30s, as we are, and older.

If this wasn't all about your having an ego trip you could just ask politely a younger individual you knew, liked and wanted to genuinely know more about what their personal background and story is.  But you're not really interested, otherwise common sense would tell you that age has zero to do with guaranteeing experience (there are 50-somethings just last week finding their interest in PE/BDSM and calling themselves "master X", "slave Y", etc.), many learn through personal experience just as with any other human interaction and relationship patterns rather than or before beginning mentoring, and knowledge -especially today but long before the internet age- is widely available to anyone willing to read, share with friends, practice with safety in mind with those willing, etc.

But again, all those and more are obvious; this is about you feeling special and higher-than-thou.

Not everyone needs or wants to be trained or mentored.  Some people have the ability to recognize and comfortably tap into their dominance and/or submission without the aid of others.  It just comes naturally for some.

My guess is supply and demand marketing.
The sub wants an experienced Mistress and the Master wants a blank slate?
Or so it seems to be perceived. I am just grateful that their so called expertise gives them away almost immediately. Generalities fail me. Give me specifics.

My friend Lucivar managed Master’s Quest public dungeon when he was 20 yrs old.  He is a rather astute young man because he was raised in a leather family.  But, you will not find him claiming to be experienced.  However, I understand your point as this doesn't hold true for the majority.

Ahhh, so this is why you are a superior in quality to me submissive what is more uber and of a higher level....

I got my knowledge with seventeen skips packets and £2.99 postage and packaging.

ive been submissive all my life, and damnit experienced in it as well. Ive also been an experienced Top for as long as i can remember. Doesnt make since, but ask anyone envolved and they would agree to the above statements.

I think that each person is different.  A friend of mine was trained in a "House".  Us...We just found our way.  It clicked.

IDK maybe I am just from a different back ground. When I was trained at the playroom I learned at NO person under 21 was allowed the same with that local scene.

One does not need to be trained in order to be a slave - a poor slave before training perhaps, but a slave all the same.

I'm 19. I wouldn't describe myself as experienced, but I'm told kindly by some that I dom as well as many who do call themselves 'experienced' and who are much older. The experiences I do have come from a 4 year BDSM relationship, several play partners, and a little phone/webcam play. I started exploring BDSM with others when I was 14.

How could a person be automatically considered inexperienced because of their age? An 18 year old might have started BDSM at 14 and spent every day since playing and interacting with their dom/sub/whatever. 1,460 days of active experience is, I'd guess, a lot. Even just with an hour a day that's 1,460 hours. Compare to a 50 year old dom who plays for four hours once a month for 20 years and has only 960 hours of active experience.

Maybe these young ones feel if they state their years of experience will lend a bit of validity to their searching? Some believe that life's experience teaches one to be a slave/submissive yet it's the master or Dom who just further refines the process.

Nite.. not EVERYONE gets their 'training' in established public venues (meaning clubs, conventions, etc)

Many people will mentor a younger person privately. Or someone can be self-taught.  I'm rather good with a cane, if I do say so myself.. and I taught myself (with the help of a former roommate 'guineapig').

I agree...public play and mentors aren't a requirement to learn, for me.
