I am leaving Collarme for the foreseeable future but I wanted to say goodbye. I have learned much here, grown immensely, but the growth I need to do now, requires me to learn to provide my validation from the inside rather than externally, which is what I used Collarme for. I have deleted SimplyMichael’s profile and will delete this one after I have posted this.
I want to thank those who have called me on my shit, like LA and others. I want to thank those amazing Dominants like MadRabbit who has shown me that youth is no bar to talent, Knight of Mists for his wisdom and insight, Merc for being a friend, Iron Bear for showing me that some Goreans deserve respect. Suhlut for allowing me to use her. Certainly there are many others who have crossed my path who I respect; the above is way too short a list. Even Mod 11 has helped me grow.
I most want to thank the many out there who complimented me on my advice, my wisdom, my willingness to share as deeply of myself as I dared. I was at something of a low point in my life when I came to CM and in this forum I found much of my self worth that had been lost to me. I grew and became strong again. I dropped this name and adopted SimplyMichael as a sign of that growth. That growth pushed me to the point where I could attract the most amazing woman I have ever known.
Sadly, it was not enough to make the relationship work. My insecurities ate at us and in the end destroyed us. I am not yet ready but leaving CM is I hope, part of the path that will get me to the place I need to be so that when someone amazing once again enters my life, doubts will not follow in her shadow.
To my many many friends, I bid you farewell and wish you well on your journeys. Be at peace knowing I am on mine.
