Status: offline 		In case you actually do want to learn, you are not too far from the Winston-Salem area that has some real time groups that you might enjoy. There could then be face to face communication and no more chat rooms.

Status: offline 		You also might want to check out this thread http://www.collarchat.com/m_2082967/tm.htm . A lot of people,  not all, but quite a lot hold the D-types or those who claim to be D-types to a much higher standard of control and behavior than the s-types, especilly other D-types. That is part of what you might be experiencing.

Seems to me, this is the crux right here. You admit to hitting your slave out of anger and yet ask for respect? I'm sorry but how are people supposed to offer you respect when your moment of anger caused you to strike out at another, even if she is your slave. Most of us are able to distinguish between consensual hitting and abusive hitting.
Fully see that a person who identifies as slave aren't totally compliant and have their individual quirks, temperament, faults and opinions. That is what you have to work with and with her input may help you mold her into a slave which is more to yours and her liking.

Maybe try to look at this from the other side of the coin. These experienced people are simply offering their own experiences as an example to us less experienced in order that we do not make their mistakes. Most often I will see their advice as their way of leading by their own example, whether it's a good thing or a negative experience with the hopes that when and if I encounter the same situation, I will recall X stating what happened to them and learn from what they went through. Don't look at them as being know-it-alls but people who may be trying to make our path a little bit easier then their's was.

Status: offline 		You aren't going to like my response and I don't know you, but my perception of you is that you are a very angry person. Your posts come across as angry and arrogant. The fact that you hit someone in anger is never a good trait in a Dominant. If you are still learning being humble and willing to accept or at least swallow the advice others send your way s a good way to start. In order to learn one must first listen until you do so you will continue to make the same mistakes over and over. Maybe those people were just trying to help you, but I suspect you got a lecture because in a community that gets so much crap for the activities they engage in and get called abusers someone who actually does hit in anger does nothing to further the cause of the BDSM community nor in the quest to prove that, that is not what this lifestyle is about. JMHO

Do you tell them this because it's their fault you can't control yourself or do you tell them this because you want to protect them from yourself?

As to your OP - Sorry son but that is life.
You went into a chat room and told a bunch of strangers that you punched a women and now you are surprised they didn't pat you on the back and tell you what a good boy you were. If you tell a group of people you did something wrong. There is a really good chance they are going to tell you why you were wrong. If you have a problem with that then leave the chat room. Not sure what you thought you would get when you posted here, but my guess is, it will be more of the same. Your going to be hard pressed to find a group of people who are going to tell you it was all her fault and your just a poor victim.

Edited to ask - In the OP you state "We haven't played together sense (it's been over a year). " but here you say 2 years....which is it?

As far as I am concerned this has nothing to do with how much experience a Dom has or doesn't have. Your parents should have taught you at a young age that it is wrong to lose your temper and hit women. Obviously you missed a lesson. Good luck with it.
