The silliest answers include "But I'm a *slave* not a dog-walker!" (honey, a slave is whatever the Master or mistress SAYS s/he is!) and "But five in the mORBING? I don't want to play THEN!" (1. we aren't play8ng and 2. what part of 24 don't you get? What part of 7?) I finally got tired of arguing and put the information on my site.
So, slaves and subs if your Dominant wants you to get up at 5, is this a deal breaker?

I personally don't hold the idea that a sub/slave has to earn a place at my feet with specific actions. The idea that relationships can be earned completely takes away from the Dom/me's prerogative. ANYONE can do all of the things you listed, does that mean they will make a good slave? Does that mean that you want them living in your house? Does that mean that you will be able to care for them as a person and really desire their service to you? I think not.
IMO we show others who we are by being who we are. X is submissive and if X's brand of submission is appealing to you, then you and X decide whether or not you want to persue each other. You talk, you date, you play, and if after time you still think that X's brand of submission is appealing to you then you take the relationship further. By X submitting to your dominance, X is giving you a gift. By Dominating X, you are accepting that gift of submission.
That being said, my subs all have very specific assignments that they must follow on a daily basis. I am quite strict in my expectations however, everything that I have them do have very specific reasons behind them. Each assignment is relevant to their present daily life and their submission to me. If there is a valid reason that they are unable to perform their daily tasks I am very understanding. Illness, injury, unavoidable circumstances beyond their control are all valid reasons, any less will involve punishment and recurring problems will bring forth a reevaluation of the relationship by both parties.
