According to the newest Gallup poll, the Biden pick hasn't helped.  Latest poll after Biden joined the ticket, show a tie.

Go figure.

Thadius,
Trying my best to figure.

Maybe you can help me with this?

Senator Biden is 65 years old.
Senator Biden has been part of the US Senate establishment for 36 years. (McCain 22 years)
Senator Biden voted to extend the Iraqi War funding.
Senator Biden said Senator Obama wasn't ready and didn't have enough experience to be President.
Senator Biden supports amnesty for criminal immigrants.

Give or take a few years; and the Iraqi funding vote; did Senator Obama pick Senator McCain 'lite' as a VP?

Does this decision reflect "HOPE" or "CHANGE"?

Good evening,

You raise some very good points.

Not only did Biden vote for the continued funding, he voted for the use of force.  Which is really strange as he voted against the original trip to the sandbox in the '90s.
Try looking at some of the spending that Biden has added to bills over the years... he could choke Ted Kennedy with some of his proposals.

Like I stated before, it definitely reflects a policy of hope and change.  I hope if they get elected that we as working Americans are left with at least some change in our pockets and savings.

The Biden pick is beginning to make more sense now...

DENVER -- No matter what help Barack Obama might get from Sen. Joseph Biden, his newly named vice presidential running mate won't give Obama much cover on the Tony Rezko front.
Biden has described himself as a 30-year friend of a key figure in the Rezko trial who's pleaded guilty to a federal extortion charge in Chicago and is awaiting sentencing

Last night, Obama wasn't sure what city he was in.

Or maybe McCain is in the beginning stages of Alzheimers?

If you've ever had a job that required you to travel for a living you would realize how easy that is to do.  Try spending a week on the road visiting 20+ different cities.  There were times I would wake up in a hotel room and not have a clue where the hell I was.  Somehow I always managed to remember what I owned and where it was located.

Does it really fill you with confidence that the potential next President bats his eyelashes and says that wifey makes all those decisions so he doesn't have to worry his pretty little head over stuff like that?

I travel regularly. I ALWAYS know what city I am in.

ALWAYS.

Sorry, but if Obama is so high he can't tell which city he is in he has no business trying to handle the nation's business.

One would assume that if they were going to announce where they were, to the world via satelite broadcast, that they should know where they are, especially since this is not the first time he has done it.

One would also assume that he had time to wake up, grab a bit of coffee (and a cigarette even), and do the other things necessary to kickstart the brain.  Don't know too many people who tumble out of bed ready for a tv appearance.

Tell ya what.  Google McCain gaffes and you'll find a long list of things even dumber than that, and I don't think the old guy even gets high.  It might be an idea though.  I hear it helps Alzheimer's.

Well using your advice, and considering that McCain has been around for so damn long.....

Results 1 - 20 of about 500,000 for mccain gaffes.
Results 1 - 20 of about 570,000 for obama gaffes.

Forgive me if I'm a little slow this evening but I'm trying to figure out your point.  If it is that they both mispoke numerous times then I agree.  If it is that we shouldn't dwell on stupid things like this, I agree.  If someone insists on making an issue of it then I feel compelled to respond, however.

In case it was unintentional, my confusion is because both links led only to a definition of the word.

Do the google search for mccain gaffes, and then do the search for obama gaffes... those are the results that came up.  I took your advice.

Edited to add your quote:

Pardon me - but you're the one who got this whole ball rolling with your post about McCain's houses. Now, we shouldn't dwell on such things... why. Because Obama's such an embarrassment to you when we do?

But dwelling on such things is  fine, it's all fun and games when it's you doing it, or it's McCain who is being accused of having Alzheimer's.

Gaffes?  Aren't those the things linemen wear to climb poles?  I guess they'll use anything to climb higher in polls these days.

They are also used for snagging lines and fish by those upon boats and ships.
