a little bit more like Bukowski,
and yeah I know he's a pretty good read.

Sorry. Your list reminded me of that song, and I couldn't resist posting it.

Edited to add: Hey, how is "Haunted" by the way? I've been meaning to pick that up.

I went to see a talk by the author of Wrestling with God and Men last night and I'm IMMEDIATELY going to go pick it up.

It's by a rabbi that I'm pretty sure is the only out Gay orthodox rabbi. He was absolutely amazing.

Right now, I am reading Multiple Streams of Income.  I have about 20 unread books on My night stand and who knows what I'll pick up next.

I put myself to sleep with The Outline of History by H.G. Wells. It's out of date and written in an antiquated style, but that just makes it more enjoyable.

I recently finished Cat Stories by James Herriott. I was reading it to my girl late at night to put her to sleep. Very nice.

I love O. Henry and Dean Koontz.

Check out www.bibliomania.com for all the classics without having to find them at the library.

You can even print them out!

I have a few going at once here:

Le Ton Beau de Marot by Douglas Hofstadter, which (gonna sound dry but it actually is very interesting) is a book which looks as the intracies of translation.

F.U.B.A.R by Sam Seder and Stephen Sherill (I just bought it and it is GREAT!)

and Oroonoko, by Aphra Behn, and old favorite.  (Does anyone else go bad and reread old favorites over and over?)

I'm reading Spanish for Dummies because I'm trying to learn the language.  I am also listening to The Cat Who Saw Stars by Lilian Jackson Braun on audio book.  Generally I read books, but there is a certain narrator who does a phenominal job reading her books on tape.  I prefer to listen.    Other books recently read would be Dragonsinger by Anne McCaffrey and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
