For Bill:

Bad Boy

Thadius -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 4:31:20 PM)

I just watched an interview with Chuck Schumer suggesting that Hillary might be put up for one of the possible Supreme Court vacancies under and Obama presidency.[8|]

You realize that's how the game is played?

ummm that could sway my vote. Hillary Clinton out of the Senate. But unless is Chief Justice I can't see her settling to be one of nine. It would be too similar to her married life with Bill.

Thadius -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 4:48:43 PM)

Just think about who Patterson might appoint in her place...

Hell she was already cheated on by the first "black" president of the US, why would she expected to be treated differently by the potential second?[;)]

So now you are an independent territory or a monarchy or ?  [sm=imking.gif]

I am a sovereign me.  Most would consider it a dictatorship, however I prefer the much nicer label of DESPOT. [;)]

Vassals and serfs to wait upon your every need and cater to your every whim.  How do levy taxes and do you allow them to petition for your favors? My guess is that the droit de seigneur applies to the peasant wenches, yes?

Fortunately there are no virgin peasant wenches in this man's estate.

However, I am not an unreasonable man.  I am more than willing to partake in jus primae noctis, to bless the unions of those wonderful wenches within driving distance.

Just sayin,
Thadius

Vendaval -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 5:48:30 PM)

As George Clooney once said, "Who needs 100 virgins?  Give me 8 pros!"

Thadius -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 5:51:19 PM)

I find virgins to be overrated.  I enjoy a woman that knows what she is doing.  Don't get me wrong, teaching is fun, there is just something to be said for experience.

See what I did there?

The pragmatic,
Thadius

I have to peek, I must at least turn it on in the background!
Who else will be watching the Democratic National Convention?
Come on, you have to peek!

Ted Kennedy is speaking tonight, Jimmy Carter is even showing up!
Also, I heard Michelle Obama has a speech that will make us all feel better

about our lives and the world!

Tell the truth!
Who else has it on?

[sm=book.gif]

[8|]  I'm kinda watching it.  And Fet is listening to it from the puter'.

[sm=ubanana.gif]I'm a DNC virgin.  Watched the 1st day and have not stopped.  ...It's interesting to see the pomp and circumstance.

Former President - Bill Clinton is about to talk.

How is Biden going to follow this?

He should just call in sick. [8D]

Being Biden, he'll probably just crib Bill's speech figuring no one will notice.

popeye1250 -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 7:04:44 PM)

Well, if anyone had any doubts that Bill Clinton is a global socialist they should be put to rest after that speech.
He used the words "world" and "global" all throughout that speech.
He thinks for whatever reason that the USA should be the "world leader."
Sorry but I just don't want people who think things like that in my govt.
Then, he was talking about "declining wages" for working and middle class people, did he forget that HE was the fucking ***ASSHOLE*** who signed NAFTA into law causing us to lose millions of jobs?
The thing about Bill Clinton is that it's just so easy to tear down whatever he says.
He relies on emotions rather than facts.

Thadius -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 7:05:50 PM)

Bill Clinton rose to thundering cheers and whistles, he spent 3 minutes trying to settle the crowd down.  Decent speech, but who expected any less.

Clinton "Barrack Obama IS the right man for the job".

I will not comment on how this could be parsed, which definition of "is" was he referring to?

The more things change, the more they stay the same..

MzMia -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 7:24:06 PM)

I listened to the majority of Bill Clinton's speech tonight.
There were parts of his speech that actually sounded very good.
Didn't we all really expect a "Feel Good about Obama and the Democrats" speech?
Isn't that what these conventions are mainly about?
I think Bill delivered a feel good speech, and he actually seemed like he is trying to unite

the Democratic party!

I give Bill's speech, 2 thumbs up, a bag of chips and 2 upside down dancing banna's
.  [sm=ubanana.gif][sm=ubanana.gif]

Vendaval -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 7:29:31 PM)

Yes, Bill loves being in the spotlight and knows how to work the crowd.  Everybody's feeling pretty good at that convention right now.[sm=cute.gif]

Sanity -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 7:51:20 PM)

Did Joe just say that Barack is going to attack Russia and Pakistan?

It sure sounded like it...

Thadius -> RE: Okay, WHO besides me will be watching some of the DNC? (8/27/2008 8:00:40 PM)

He also mentioned that Barrack is for "equal pay for women"... [8|]

quote:

As reported by CNSNews.com, "While Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has vowed to make pay equity for women a top priority if elected president, an analysis of his Senate staff shows that women are outnumbered and out-paid by men. That is in contrast to Republican presidential candidate John McCain's Senate office, where women, for the most part, out-rank and are paid more than men."

and

quote:

It starts with equal pay? Did he seriously say that with a straight face? As CNSNews.com notes in their analysis, "On average, women working in Obama's Senate office were paid at least $6,000 below the average man working for the Illinois senator." CNSNews.com also points out that "of the five people in Obama's Senate office who were paid $100,000 or more on an annual basis, only one -- Obama's administrative manager -- was a woman."
In contrast, women outnumbered men on McCain's Senate payroll by 30 to 16. The women were paid an average of $3,000 more than the men.

The audacity of change... [;)]
