I think what really got McCain's attention and the final nod was her ability to buck the system (the way he used to), remember she didn't go after Dems, she went after Republican corruption and won. Just my take on it, Thadius P.S. I think she will appeal to blue collar women in the middle of the country.

How about President Pelosi!! If you really want to worry about our country...this nutcake from San Francisco who was elected by around 160,000 votes...is THIRD in the line for the Oval Office. Now that scares the hell out of me. Think about that before you attack a principled woman like the Governor of Alaska. And, incidentally, the woman has years more executive experience than Obama who has run nothing, has had responsibility for nothing...voted "present over 140 times in the Illinois Senate", has had two trips to Europe...one on spring break and one just recently before a bunch of hyped up German socialists dancing to rock musik. And old Joe Biden has never worked in the real world since he was 29 years old...Yea sure...he can relate to the blue collar guys spending around $180 or soround trip on Amtrak...not the NYC subway system, to say the least. This is the NEW face Obama brings to the table..a guy with hair plugs. The democrat party better look for another direction of attack than her "inexperience". Gimme a break!

Alaska is very important to the nation at large, part of the deal that was made to bring them into the union was that they would provide their natural resources to the lower 48. Remember Alaska is the state of energy, both oil and natural gas. She took the windfall that came into the state coffers from the elevated prices of oil and refunded it to the people of Alaska, and also has a $40Billion project to create a natural gas pipeline in the works. As Gov her first thoughts should go to her state, as VP I am sure it will be focused where it should be. I have no idea about the interviewer. There is another clip floating around from the CNN Beck show.

Well sure, that and the fact that Alaska is by Russia...lots of foreign experience to be had by being neighbors. I'm honestly worried for McCain. Of course Condoleeza would have been a formidable and much more natural choice. I'm flummoxed.

But why not Rice?! It's awful: what's wrong with Rice? Is she too competent? Is it because she has international savvy? Is it because of the rumours that she's gay? What the fuck? Palin is so wreckless a choice, it's bordering on criminally insane. McCain was introducing her today in Ohio and had to read her name and state from a piece of paper he had in front of him. A potential vice-president he doesn't even know!
