Just got off the phone with my sister up in Massachusetts. She wanted Hillary Clinton to win but now she says she'll vote for McCain/Palin because, "I want a woman in the W.H." "Maybe McCain will keel over and she'll be president." My sister is almost like a "mini-me" with the foul mouth on her. Like I said, I doubt Obama will take Massachusetts, too many Hillary supporters up there who just won't vote for him.

a note to the topic in general - seems that an awful lot of folks are either ignoring or glossing over the fact that mr. Obama is a Chicago politician, born and bred. (not physically born in Chicago, but you know what I mean) That should make anyone ponder whether he is in fact qualified, or just another political hack.

Actually, that's been brought up more than once, and answered in detail by posters who lived there, ... IIRC, he never held elected political office in Chicago, and thus had nothing of value to trade for favors in the Daly machine ward system, but he did manage to get awfully chummy with some of the usual suspects in the traditional non-Chicago business as usual political way. And I doubt if we will ever see a major party candidate who is anything other than just a political hack... but they sure are getting creative with the disguises.[;)]

And how is McCain any less of a political hack? How about focusing on their policy positions and directions they`re pursuing,as a way to distinguish them ,rather than the petty? Seems the name calling and the superfluous is clouding the debate about what makes them different. I mean if that`s what you want to do,fine. But there is room to define their differences without the distractions. Yes?
