azropedntied, you have provided some excellent information on this thread that shows the value that can be had in such an arrangement. I appreciate that very much and I actually learned some things from your responses. As you can see though, there are bdsm pros who do participate in this on a sexual level. If one person is paying out money for a sexual service..and another person is providing a sexual service in exchange for that money....that is the definition of prostitution. No, not everyone who is a pro does that. But bdsm has a very strong sexual aspect to it. Somehow though, because it is bdsm there are people who do engage sexually in this and profit monetarily from that but will then go on to say that it's not prostitution because of the dominant/submissive factor. That doesn't negate that a sexual service is being provided in exchange for money. High dollar escorts don't like to be called hookers either...even if they are doing the same thing. But a hot dog vendor selling hot dogs on a corner is still technically a restaurant.

Once again I will try....I don't look down upon anyone who chooses to pro sub, pro dom/me or for that matter, if they choose to stand on a street corner and prostitute themselves. Personally I am of the belief that it is their bodies and they should be able to choose how they use them. I do have problems with the terminology. If you're gonna do something, at least be clear about what it is you are doing and not try to wrap it in fluffy pink bows to make it more palatable to some. I'm fairly certain that if you ask a married prostitute if what she does in the bedroom with her husband and what she does in some no tell motel with a john are the same thing and should be called the same thing, she'd likely tell you no that they were very different.

But if the vendor isn't on the street, and isn't selling food, then they aren't a restaruant. You make it quite clear that you do look down on people that choose to do this. You ridicule them...for what...so you can feel like you're "above" them? You're not the first pro sub on this thread to make a negative comment about prositutes. I think that's sad. When I worked in substance abuse MOST of my clients were street whores. Hundreds of them. And you know what, they were EXACTLY like any other woman....other than their profession which arose either by choice or more often by circumstance. They had hopes, fears and dreams, they had kids who they loved, they had God's that they worshiped. They bled red blood and cried real tears. So I'm sorry, while you can make smartass posts that denigrate them....I just see them as people. And if I had ever found myself in a situation where selling my ass on a street corner was the only way I could get by in this world....I'd have been right there with them being the best damn whore I could be. The thing that strikes me as funny though....I can't remember even one of them that couldn't look me straight in the face and tell me that they were a whore when I asked them what they did for money.
