Yes, I stand for making it more likely for a loved one to fall into a cold puddle of fecal-matter and urine tainted water in the middle of the night.  Plus, the added benefit of the cats drinking out of the bowl and then vomiting cannot be overlooked.

*chuckles*. Mine must roll off from the top, unless the cats start playing with it, then I do it your way.

I require the paper to come from the front also. Any unevenly torn sheets must be removed. No water is to sit in a sink either. Towels must be properly folded and placed where they were found. Obviously dirty towels must be replaced with a clean one. No spray marks or toothpaste splatter on the mirrors. Laziness is not acceptable. NO streaks on the mirrors. If a bulb burns out replace it immediately. The rug must be straight and centered. No loose hair on the counters, floors, in the shower. The back of the toilet cannot have anything on it. Use one of the guest restrooms if you want to read and do not leave your reading material in there. Shower curtains and doors must be closed at all times. The bath must be dried after use. The showers must be squeegeed. Leave the fans on for approximately 20 minutes after a shower/bath or to remove any unpleasant odor. All dirty clothing will be removed and placed in a hamper. Washcloths will not be used more than once and will be placed in the washer after use, draped over the center spindle to prevent mildew. Restrooms will be cleaned top to bottom at least once weekly or after any significant activity requiring so. No stains of any type will be visible at ANY time in the toilets.

My mom used to squeegee the tub.

In this house, he changes the light bulbs above the sinks because I can't reach them. I get out the bulbs and put them on the counter though.

I always put them down. I also put the cover down. I don't want to look at the water. Just a thing I have.

I always put the seat and cover down as well, you'd be surprised the amount of water that gets aerosolized when you flushed the toilet, along with poo particles in it.

It is interesting to note: While a Dominant may dominate his household, he doesn't always dominate the toilet seat ;)

With knowing this I don't know why everyone doesn't put it down.

In my house the lid also has to be down to allow the cat not falling in.

Im not the only one who actually gets STUCK in toilets when the seat is left up? when i say stuck i mean....stuck....you bastards! Like.....I fall in my ass is small enough to fall in my hips are wide enough i cant get out without help.

This has led to many a roomate and or guy friend staying the night at my apartment wakeing up to a screeching wet bitchfest coming from the bathroom

edited to actually answer the Op's question. The seat is always down.

Dolf, with all due respect I am NEVER inviting you to visit the farm. Dude, that's not anal, that scary.

As for the subject, The guy that lives here is neither dominant or submissive, just a fairly considerate guy.

The seat and lid always go down. It's good feng shui.

LOL... Funny thing is that I hardly notice any of that in someone else's home. Though I do notice the toilet cleanliness. Part of taking good aim, look before you shoot.

Okay, my anal retentiveness is starting to show in this thread.

I don't believe in using white gloves... the oils on the fingers picks up dust better... lol

I thought my father was a bit obsessive!!  You win first prize.  No disrespect intended.

As to the OP:   Although I never lived with my former Sir, He always used the guest bathroom as we both tend to like our own space (well, except that one time when I suppose he forgot).  The seat in my bathroom stays down as does the lid; as someone stated, things may tend to be released into the atmosphere.

The tissue can roll from the front or the back.  If it's within reach, I'm happy.

By squeegeeing it cuts down on the soap scum and mildew. It makes it much easier to clean. I am concerned with people's foot issues also.

A quick note on my anal retentiveness. I was in the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Air Force JROTC and the U.S. Army for a very long time. I have always been a bit of a militant, attention to detail and prideful person that seeks perfection in everything I do. I was/am always in the top percentage of everything I do, largely because of those traits. Believe it or not I breathe and relax often. lol

I have no preference one way or the other... It is what it is and I don't take note of it one way or the other.

The seat and the lid are always down when not in use.  We have a crazy, acrobatic cat and the thought of her landing in the open bowl doesn't appeal to either of us................luci

Down.  One of the cats has a fascination with the toilet, I found her balanced on toilet one time, about one 'startle' away from falling in..lol plus there's the hygeine thing too.
Paper pulls from the top..

I leave it down, He leaves is up, no biggie.  However, He gets really pissed if i put the TP on wrong, it must roll out from the bottom.

The roll MUST roll out from the top, or how am I supposed to do the little toilet paper flourishes that say I am done and the br is all clean?

I have a thing that i think that a toilet seat should be left up in a MD household. Master, however, not so much.
I taught myself years ago to check, even in my sleep - i just put my hand back and if i feel cold porcelen, it wakes me up enough to put the seat down.
however, feeling warm fluffy seat covers doesn't seem to disturb my sleep nearly as much, and more than once i have peed all over the upper seat.

We are all gay male household, but we live on a sail boat so the lids are down. If we rock hard I do not want things ending up in there. When we lived in a house the lids where to remain up.

I work with a bossy woman so I always put both the seat and the lid down at work so she doesnt bitch at me and so that SHE has to raise one to use the facilities. Fair is fair. At home I leave them up or down as I please.

And yes, the roll dispenses from the top. No ands ifs or butts.

Unless your cover is completely air-tight, all the water and poo particles are going to whoosh out of the sides, with much greater force. There is no escaping those poo particles!

Perhaps becasue not every one cares or worries or is concerned or even stops to think about it, and because not every one knows that.
