At work, the UMs I work with handle this by coming SEARCHING for the last Male UM who was in there (and they always know who was in there last) and SCREACHING across the room 'JAMES PEED ON THE TOILET SEAT! I'M NOT SITTING IN JAME'S PEE! JAMES, YOU BETTER GET IN HERE AND CLEAN THE TOILET RIGHT NOW!" while the rest of my group snickers and I launch into my 'surely you could have done that without embarrassing your friend? would you want...' lecture. (The answer to 'would you want someone to embarrass you like that is, inevetably, "I DIDN'T PEE ALL OVER THE TOILET!")

I wonder how long a thread about toilet seats can go?

It amazes me the questions that get asked and how interesting they can become. I'm waiting for the "If some jerk wets a seat in a public restroom what do you do" question to show itself.

You drive another couple miles down the road, pull off into a field or a nice quiet dirt road and look for a bush. Duhhh!

Regardless of whether there are females in my household or not, the toilet seat and lid are to be down.

This question goes out to male Dominants who live with their female subs (or female subs who live with their male Dominants).

Strictly out of curiosity, at your house is the toilet seat to be left up or down? What is the expect seat position prior to being used and after being used?

Thanks for humoring me and satisfying my curiosity.

Q

A conversation with my female kink-friendly friend (not my girl):

(09:44:34 PM) Her: i think it should be left down if there is a woman in the house
(09:44:45 PM) Me: post that
(09:44:56 PM) Her: because if she has to go really badly, its easier for her to just pull down and sit
(09:45:05 PM) Her: without having to adjust the toilet seat
(09:45:08 PM) Her: and if a guy has to go bad enough
(09:45:11 PM) Her: he can pee through the hole
(09:45:21 PM) Me: yes, and by your logic, if I have to go really badly it's just easier for me to unzip, aim and shoot
(09:45:35 PM) Me: your argument fails to hold up to the simplest of counter arguments
(09:45:45 PM) Me: hmmm
(09:45:51 PM) Me: interesting
(09:45:58 PM) Me: who cleans up the splatter then?
(09:45:59 PM) Her: well you have to aim either way
(09:46:05 PM) Me: (the sub, of course, DUH!)
(09:46:07 PM) Her: lol
(09:46:10 PM) Her: i was gonna say thats up to you
(09:46:13 PM) Her: and how is also up to you
(09:46:14 PM) Her: XD

*shrugs*. That's the next interesting question, how would you have your girl clean it up?

I say seat and lid down... mostly because the dogs like drinking out of the toilet and then they like to lick my face (which I'm not fond of either way) after and that's just.... yuck

I don't care how as long as it gets done.

Edited----

Scratch that... As long as it gets done using items that will not be used for anything else. No using my favorite t-shirt because it's lint free. lol

Dude,
nothing but love but you have entirely too much time on your hands... but then, I asked how people shower a while back, so who the heck am I ?  LOL

Thanks for the chuckle.
sunshine - in Peru where we are lucky if there is a lid AND toilet paper all in the same bathroom.

Lid up, seat down. Dolf I had a boss at my last job that could give you lessons. His wife would be putting a puzzle together and get up for a glass of milk and he would put it back in the box before she got back . If I was reparing a tool and got a phone call when I get back the tool would be put in a box because the table looked to messy to him. He admitted that it was a compulsion with him and he could not control it.

That reminds me of my mother. If you left a glass anywhere she would empty it and wash it. Steam could be rolling off the top of your mug or have an obviously full glass of Iced Tea and it was gone the minute you walked in another room. OCD MADNESS!!! LOL

LOL I do the drink-thing too, it drives my best friend nuts!  But in my defense, the glass WAS half-empty, and there wasn't any ice left, how am I supposed to know that the contents were still wanted????

As for the toilet, we leave it down, (so the baby and dog don't get into it) the lid is shut (I got a new fluffy seat cover, so I want to admire it) and the bathroom door must stay shut (again, for the baby and the dog).  Dolf would go batty in my bathroom. There are ALWAYS little toys on the floor, the TP is sometimes half used before it makes it to the holder, and the lid for the toothpaste is missing right now.  There is glitter on the counter.  And someone knocked over all the perfume bottles on my shelf.  It will still be there tomorrow to clean up right?  And if company drops in, that bathroom will be gleaming in 45 seconds.  Baby wipes rock!

We've reached a new low. A conversation mostly about toilet seats has now lasted nearly a week :(

And all the threads going on down in the OT forum about all the political hacks are any better? Look at it this way. Atleast it is all about the "throne" and its cover, rather then what goes into it.

If it is a dominant/submissive household, I would think it would be the dominants way, unless there is a really good argument, like an animal or a little one that could think it is a play or drink pool.  If only all issues could be solved so easily......

I keep both the lid and seat rim down. That way EVERYBODY has to lift Something :)

I have that same thing.  Lid down for sure!!  I also need the lid down when it's flushed.  (shudders at the thought of the lid up while flushing)
