Eat less, move around more. Seems mean and simplistic, but I've lost 20+ pounds in the last 6 months. I moved within walking distance of my work, and to a third floor apartment. (Moving around more) I gave up soft drinks and allow myself no more than one a week. I cook more often than not now, and cut my visits to fast food joints. If I do go through the drive-through now, I do NOT get the value meal, but instead get a single sandwich or salad a large tea. I cook/load my plate up with smaller portions of carbs and larger portions of vegetables. Actually, I eat more than I did when I ate unhealthy, but I eat a great deal LESS of the unhealthy foods. 20 pounds and one size lighter, I'm now adding walking for enjoyment around town to my move around more plan. Took me 3 weeks of icing my knee down every night just from walking up and down the flight of stairs but now I'm up and down them with only a few moans and groans. PS - meant to add that when you are stting watching tv,or just finding yourself not doing anything - move around. My friend lost 60 pounds just by every time she thought about it, doing a set of situps or other form of exercise. Was kinda funny watching her drop down onto the floor in the kitchen mid-sentence and do 20 situps but the end result was one sexy wench. YUMMY!
