ORIGINAL: SingleRarity In California maybe, but that definitely isn't the case in most states. Planned Parenthood offers discounted pills, but a young teen in a low income family will be hard pressed to come up with the twenty bucks needed to cover it, and may be too scared to fill out the paperwork that would allow them the discount in the first place. This is a common question on Go Ask Alice. For someone who's been faced such a challenging scenario yourself, and seems to have such strong views, I'm honestly surprised you didn't know this. Daddy's Ballerina, e in my state a young girl can go to planned parenthood within her county health clinic and recieve birth control free after a complete physical exam which is also free. unfortunately this was not offered when i was a teen. i know everyone here believes i am against women's rights, but i am not. i believe in smaller government and lower taxes. i, just like you, do not want uncle sam to go with me to my gyno/obgyn office! i am tired of looking at my paycheck and seeing how much money is robbed from me! when i hear real stories of women using the abortion clinic for birth control, i become infuriated. in my line of work, i see this happening first hand. like ur candidate Obama stated, something has to be done about this! big government is out of touch and putting a rubber stamp on it does not make it right.
