Is it me, or are we seeing more Doms wanting free labor

It seems i am noticing more and more Masters / Mistresses demanding no- strings attached housework around the home.I do understand the desire for a submissive /slave to be of service to a superior. It just seems to be many are including "no strings" cleaning . Is that potential taking advantage of another without care to interact in the lifestyle???

Status: offline 		You do see quite a few ads seeking this type of relationship. Believe it or not, there are quite a few submissives who seek such a relationship as well. The other end of the spectrum you find doms and submissives who are seeking a sex/play only relationship. What we enjoy is something a little more well rounded. We enjoy those who enjoy displaying service in a variety of ways, and who enjoy a deeper, long lasting relationship.

Status: offline 		I totally agree that when you give of yourself to a trusting and wounderful Superior, you will do so much to show your appreciation. And with a caring and respectful Superior they give so much of themselves back to us. What i am concerned about is people not into this lifestyle , taking advantage of subs and slaves that will do so much to be accepted only to find out to late the so called Superiors really just want their house cleaned for free and nothing else...

Nothing else meaning?..love?..sex?..conversation?..or nothing else meaning those things plus adding in the nothing else of no roof over their head, food in their bellys, clothes on their backs as well?

I think actually the taking advantage of comes from both ways..superiors and subs and slaves. Superiors/Dominants are not immune to the those same feelings of wanting to be accepted so much that they find themselves duped by those saying they are subs/slaves and not really into the "lifestyle".

As long as all partys are happy with this arrangement, what is the issue?

I have had people clean my house for nothing more than a "thank you" and "job well done"....

If you agree to it, that's all good.

For some service oriented submissives that's EXACTLY what they want- to be a servant, a maid, free labor.

I know that's a lot of what I provide in my relationships.

Not all relationships are based on love. Not all of them are fluffy doms who care and nurture. Some of them are about obedience, nothing more or less.

Status: offline 		Im not sure about no strings but keeping the house reasonably clean is part of what I expect from my submissive. She doesn't have to clean every five minutes but so long as the floors aren't dirty, the sink isn't piled with dish's, etc I am a happy camper. Im not a neat freak but I do dislike my house to be a pig pen.

Though as to free labor I did see one profile of a guy on here in my first days that was looking for subs to work on his farm, different strokes lol.

Status: offline 		Free labor would be coming to my house and cleaning it, doing my laundry while I wasn't around. Anytime a submissive has cleaned my house, she got something in return whether it was a scene, a place to stay, a bit of otk spanking or just satisfying her need to serve.

Nobody does anything for free, they always get something out of it. It may not be tangible or can be understood by the masses, but they did it for what they got out of it.

As far as cleaning my house for 'free' goes, I have plenty of restraints for the submissive to wear while she does housework.

Status: offline 		Submissives and slaves sometimes approach me to discuss a matter they can be sure will be held in strictest confidence; after a bit of brain-storming, they go off and slay their own dragons.

By contrast, an amazing number of Men over 40, calling Themselves Doms and Masters, want free legal advice and/or representation. Their problems are entirely of Their own making (i got caught drunk driving; i am thousands of dollars in arrears in child support; i got caught not paying payroll tax; i'm in the country illegally; i got caught not carrying workers' comp for my employees; i cannot write a business plan; i have no idea where my money is or if i am making a profit; and on and on...usually with more than one problem at once.)

Go figure.

Status: offline 		It's not a matter of demanding, I don't think. It's knowing what you want and putting it out there for those who want the same thing to see. The fact is, once you step outside the "vanilla" box, everything becomes open to interpretation. I'm looking for a slave to clean my house, yes, but by gosh there are LOADS of strings attached. You would not believe, however, how many emails I get from submissives not in the least interested in the strings, or even the position itself, but just want to come clean my house. No strings. Just because I'm a Domme. Go figure.

As an addendum, I got so many of those, and since I expect the search for a 24/7 slave to take awhile, I went ahead and modified my profile for the part-timers... I mean, they want to do it, what the heck. I'd love to have my house cleaned ***shrug***

Personally, I pay a vanilla gal to clean My house.

I got tired of the sissy-maids who said the only wanted to perform "maid service" then spent the entire time wanting makeup advice and gazing into the mirror. I got tired of the "service submissives" who said they only wanted to serve then when they got in the house, they wanted play or a relationship, or something and then it was hell getting them out. I got tired of the "bartering" aspect of some who professed to only want to serve Me yet seemed to keep a running toll of what they did and then inquire what I would do for them. Such made it seem more like a Professional service - and hell, I know all about that! I rarely barter for sessions as My session time is so precious and My personal play is certainly worth more than some friggin' vacuming and dusting.

And brownie points for those who mention that submissives can manipulate and use as well. I feel that some do not realize the massive amount of mental and physical energy and effort that a Top can invest and spend in an intense scene. A Top can give away pieces of themselves when engaging in such scenes, yet a "no strings sub" can take that and run just as easily.

Bad folks with ulterior motives who use peole are just bad folks... it happens in every walk of life. Go into things with your eyes open and your instinct on high alert.

I think perhaps those sorts of arrangements are becoming more visible but I don't think its anything new. I do think there is a difference between being useful and being used (and I definitely have seen situatiuons which the submissive was being used for their services because the "dominant" was just basically cheap), but I don't know if I could articulate it and to me it has little to do with providing a service of domestic labor.

Status: offline 		in the past i received a couple of emails from male slaves who wanted to do my housework. as i am in no way dominant, and hadn't any clue what i could give to them or do for them, i respectfully declined the offers. i wonder if i should have said "yes" and thereby not offended them, even though i was very kind and respecful in my responses.

Yeah..the two (is that right?) episodes with Lady Heather and Gil were fascinating...especially on network tv. i don't have the "extra" channels like HBO, but there's never been even a hint of BDSM on A&E or Lifetime, etc. that i am aware of. Maybe if Lady Heather had been slaveheather....LOL.
