I always dislked having a common name, but on the other side of that my sister had an unusal name and hated it even more.

I dont think it matters whether its common or not, the most important thing is if it means something to you (like a familey name).

Good luck in finding the right name for your new soul, here are a few that I have always liked.

Boys:
Dillon
Devon
Jesse
Donavon
Ryan

Girls:
Sharmin
Alexandria
Miranda

I found another name today from a movie called "Namesake" of all things. LOL
it is Ashima ( Asheema) It means boundless, free, no boundries.

It is also the name of a Goddess of Fate from Samaria. She represented the Dawn.. and her symbol is the 8 pointed star.

It is a name used in India.. and I am Hindu.. so I realy realy like that one. If I had to pick right now.. that would be it. I love the meaning behind it.

What do ya'll think?

Gwyn

I have a niece called Asheema.... it is a beautiful name.  It is sometimes shortened to Sheems by people which is lovely too.

Asha - girls name, means wish, desire, hope
Sharmila - another girls name (sorry I only seem to know girls ones) - protection, comfort, joy

edited to add some more Hindi names

I really like those. I like Hindu names. *smiles* But most folks here have *no* Idea how to spell, nor say them.

Gwyn

Well, When Love and I found out that I was prego, he came up with the name Marley James, after Bob Marley and Jimmi Hendrix (Yes, he's a bit of a hippie! lol) ... And I loved it... But then, he decided on Derek Marley 3 weeks before he was born... And I kind of liked the name Marley Jo for a girl, but I can't use that name now, since we already did... lol

But you are more than welcome to use it if you would like... :)
