HK.. thanks SO much for making me hungry... (that's what you're making next time I get up there, right?)
Absolutely. One of my favorite dishes. Have a little shrimp ceviche and some black beans... yum.

Gotta be careful with some of those brews, Aynne. Pretty high alcohol. The Yeti Imperial Stout I had last night was 9.5%. But they are soooo delicious. Nothing at all like that beer-flavored water made from rice that the majors advertise the shit out of because nobody would drink it unless it was "cool" to do so.

Dnomyar -> RE: What a Crock (9/24/2008 4:26:47 AM)

You sure it was'nt Sake you were drinking.

I have some recipies if you would like, Can either post one from scratch OR post one that allows you to "doctor up" an existing potaote soup like Cambells soup or another canned soup. I cook for a living.

GreedyTop -> RE: What a Crock (9/24/2008 7:16:35 AM)

9 can chili

1 lb hamburger/ground meat of your choice
1 pack shredded cabbage
1can tomato sauce
1can diced tomato
1 diced onion
2 cans diced tomato w/ garlic & onion
2 cans Rotel
1 can black beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can white beans

cook on low for 2 hrs, then switch to warm and leave over night.

Dnomyar -> RE: What a Crock (9/24/2008 7:35:42 AM)

Greedy add a can of mushrooms

GreedyTop -> RE: What a Crock (9/24/2008 7:53:43 AM)

Dnomyar -> RE: What a Crock (9/24/2008 7:56:16 AM)

A lot of people would say that about beans in chili.

cjan -> RE: What a Crock (9/24/2008 8:06:54 AM)

I love mushrooms, but...mushrooms in chili is just WRONG !

And canned mushrooms ??? [sm=eeew.gif]  I'd just as soon chew rubber washers.

Aynne88 -> RE: What a Crock (9/24/2008 8:10:19 AM)

Once again we agree;) No worries HK I can hold my beer quite nicely, and I hold my "liquor" even better. [;)]

Yay, I'll hope you'll post them here as I've not really found anything that sounds yum. Is it because cheese is hard to do melty for long periods of time? Is that what is up with all the "Velveta" recipes? Blah, Velveta isn't even food, which is why they call it "cheese food." I think it's actually petroleum.

cjan -> RE: What a Crock (9/24/2008 11:46:13 AM)

So y'all like melted cheese and potatoes ? Try this yummy dish.
