cyberdude611 -> Poll: Only 30% of Americans support a bailout (9/26/2008 7:58:29 AM)

Rasmussen poll shows that only 30% of Americans think the government should step in and bailout the banking sector. 63% said they are worried the government is going to do too much.

50% said they feel it is better to let the companies go bankrupt.

then i question the politicians that were ready to pass this damn bill!!!  now they are mad because there are "gutsy" politicians including McCain that have questions & worries!  don't you believe that the citizens of this country deserve to know how this bill will effect us negatively?  suppose the damn thing don't work?  what then?  there is no guarantee here folks!!![image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m22.gif[/image]

Harry Reid & Chris Dodd are ignoring emails from voters, because they believe this bail out has to be done?  WTF!!!!!

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: Poll: Only 30% of Americans support a bailout (9/26/2008 8:38:09 AM)

then many more people will be homeless...as more forclosures happen and jobs are lost and thus no income...

not to mention students wont go to school because banks wont lend the money.

cloudboy -> RE: Poll: Only 30% of Americans support a bailout (9/26/2008 8:39:47 AM)

I've decided to support the bailout if part of the $700B goes to paying my monthly mortgage.

bestbabync -> RE: Poll: Only 30% of Americans support a bailout (9/26/2008 8:40:40 AM)

Reid stated  "I believe the government should look out for Wall Street & Main Street"  [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m28.gif[/image]

There is no money. If you throw up a $700 billion dollar hit to the national debt, it will destroy the currency and you could see a crash of the dollar.

All this bailout will achieve is moving the water to a different section of the sinking boat.

bipolarber -> RE: Poll: Only 30% of Americans support a bailout (9/26/2008 8:51:57 AM)

Hummm.... 30% support the bailout. (As proposed by Bush)
Bush's approval rating is around 28%...

Coincidence?

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: Poll: Only 30% of Americans support a bailout (9/26/2008 8:52:37 AM)

your currency is already destroyed....back in 2002 it was 1.64 canadian for 1 US (i know because i went to california and had to exchange $) dollar...now it is even money...

you watch what happens if this bail out dont go through.....it will be baaaaaaaaaad.
your debt..is already way to high as it is...so adding to it wont mean shit.

bestbabync -> RE: Poll: Only 30% of Americans support a bailout (9/26/2008 8:57:59 AM)

damned if we do and damned if we don't!

get the lube ready folks![image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m24.gif[/image]

kittin, I think there is a need to shout, and a need for this by lots and lots of people. I also suggest gathering in public squares, in front of state and federal properties, with pitchforks and rakes.

Sometimes an exception needs to be made for rude behavior, like typing in all caps. I think this is one of those times.

How many more times 700 billion have we wasted in Iraq?

Three,...four times more?

Not to mention the lives and limbs lost.

I wish people were this awake when invading Iraq was still a proposal.

This is simply incorrect.

Chris Dodd is one who stepped up and said "Not so fast" (for which Republicans have criticized him)

Find me ANY legislator who says "we just shouldn't do this."

It's a mess, yes. One building for years.

But it shouldn't be "resolved" with a hasty, messy solution just because Bush wants it.

You're right. And I agree with you: this situation warrants a good little revolution to put things back where they should be :-) .

Hurray! A revolt!

Obama has done everything the way he has to fit his own egotistical agenda. The man is not the savior of democracy, he's just another smoke puffer like presidents have been for years. And I tried to email Dodd and Reid, and they are not accepting email. Traitors

For all of our sake we had better hope there is a resolution to the mess and hope beyond hope that it is the correct one, perhaps you have a better solution?
