ORIGINAL: kiwisub12 and if the kegels don't work - as they didn't for me - see your local urologist, and be evaluated. If you have stress urinary incontinence there is a very simple , quick surgery that uses a piece of polypropelene mesh to provide support for the urethra, and cure the incontinence. Is wonderful as i can personally attest - even though it took me a year to stop crossing my legs when i sneezed - from sheer habit. And if you want to find a good urologist, call your preferred hospital, ask to be put through to surgery and talk to one of the RN's that work there - and ask them who they personally would use for this surgery. Trust me - they know who is good! Yup, I had the TVT, but after 18 months... it began to fail. (but then I have MS and incontinence is an issue anyway. TMI!) I took a last resort- I had an interstim implant done.
