I think (please Heretic, correct me if I am misinterpreting) he was referring to the ‘lost warrior’ syndrome infecting the military ‘elite’ and some circles of national politics. For a really good book on this, check out “Warrior Dreams” by Gibson. The ‘reaction’ to the reaction to the post-Vietnam era has been suggested to lead to hyper militarism in the 1980s (see militia movement in US, also the ‘Freicorps’ in post-WW I Germany). At least that is the connection I made to his post/ reference to an earlier post.

bestbabync, With all do respect, this video is an attack on Obama for saying the Iraq War was and is a mistake. What does "The war in Iraq was a mistake" really mean? Is it really disrespecting troops who fight and have fallen? Maybe it's just a disagreement as to how the War on Terror is being handled. After all, was Vietnam a mistake? I don't see anyone saying yes to that question being called out as someone who is mocking the US military and the fallen veterans. Politicians declare war, troops carry out the orders. Obama is only saying that certain politicains made a mistake in what was done and how things are being handled. Even as a person who will be voteing for McCain, I don't agree with all of the video's statements on Obama.
