Fun little article from Time, with one opinion on why Palin has sparked such a strong response as the Republican Veep nominee... Why Some Women Hate Sarah Palin The list starts with her being too pretty... Personally, I think it's more to do with liberals frequently behaving as if they have a monopoly on certain segments of the population, and needing to destroy anyone who challenges that lie, but I'm curious what others think. This is why I don't care for her: She was a ploy by the Republican party. All they had left for "unique" was the female element.If they wanted to win anything, they should have gone with Condi. But I think she is smart enough to distance herself from the Republican party to sustain any future in her political career. She used her um at the end to "clinch" her mommy/hockey mom image. Women are too smart to accept that kind of manipulation using her "prop". She's an obvious puppet and doesn't care. She has a shot at becoming president if McCain is elected. To me, I find that allowing people to use a female that way indicates someone who is incapable of gaining power on her own. Then the winking and folksy crap. That just a personal turn off no matter who uses it. But then she can see Russia from her house :)

Oh Geheebus... Look, Palin is either loved or hated I am sure, and then the fence riders. Its not a matter of demonizing your own team, if you take the time to look at the interviews that she does, her own running mate admonishes her, but blames it on Gotcha media...I mean..honestly, blame it on what ever you feel you need to blame it on to make you feel better in accepting it...shes not experienced enough, she doesnt have the skills to deal with the people, she doesnt know enough about big politics to be able to survive. She wants more power, and lets look at this, a power hungry woman is creepy...unless she is weilding a whip...and even then..it depends on the shoes. And honestly, I just dont feel confident that she has what it takes. I dont feel like she can handle herself. I dont feel like she can push when it comes to push and shove. I see her wanting to make smores and waggle a baby at them. Or offer to take them to a soccer game. Some chics got it and some dont, she dont. I mean, Im a woman, I would LOVE to see a woman in the white house, and one that wasnt on her knees or with a cigar between her legs, or one that wasnt carrying a dust buster or making speeches...what ever...but I want to see a woman that has put some work into it, and didnt end up as a running mate because a choice had to be made. Look at it as going to a party and having to get laid...are you going to put some thought into who you throw down with? Or are you going to just grab some random chic up because you have no choice? I dont think McCain really THOUGHT about his choice. She says on more than one occasion that she doesnt understand the way washington works...and she doesnt understand the way they speak...you are not going to get that experience dwelling in the freezer asile reading the lables on frozen yogurt and playing hockey. She just isnt ready, and doesnt have what it takes.

I can't stand either Republicans, or Democrats. I really wish the mud slinging would just stop and we could actually hear about the real issues, inflation, civil liberties, foreign policy, the economy, the federal reserve ext. Instead all most Americans care about is the personal life's of the candidates, starting rumors, and attacking their character. Though honest question....Why is Palin not qualified but Obama is? He doesn't have much more experience than her? And further more we have a republican president...he sucks, and a democratic congress...they suck....maybe what we need is new people, not the same people with the same ideas. (though I wouldn't say Palin or Obama is the right choice). In my opinion new ideas, a strong voice for freedom, and some hard work trumps experience. Our current politicians experience is learning how to not repersent the people and do what ever the fuck they want.

This really pisses me off. As a woman this election cycle, I'm really totally fucking sick of being told why I feel the way I do, and why it's wrong and how I ought to feel. I had to support Clinton or I was anti-woman, then I had to support Obama or I was anti-woman, now I have to support Palin or I'm anti-woman. It's as though the fact that I have tits instead of a penis has made me incapable of forming an opinion. Whatever opinion I hold must be a result of some kind of estrogen-induced girlie foolishness. Its not in the exact quotes, its more in the demeanor....and I have stated this before...as have others...the winking, and the "folksy" talk. Its just this way...like...the half whisper like shes your high school guidance lady. And the constant referal to Joe Six pack...and of course her assumption that the American people want straight talk...and that the only corruption is on Wall Street, or that the only ones who fear are Soccer moms.....She uses sterotypes to try and get in touch with people that she doesnt understand. I find it demeaning. And yes Levitating is an awesome ability. You have no idea what it does for me in grid lock traffic. You want specific examples and quotes?
