Going back to the OP for a moment, we should also look at all the positives she has brought to the campaign. This also reflects on McCain for making the particular choice. She solidified, and motivated the religious wing of the party. I don't like them very well, but realpolitik dictates a Republican find a way to bring them aboard. She did that. Reagan was "teflon," Sarah is a trampoline. An amazing number of the attacks and questions on her, bounce right back onto the top of the Dem ticket. Experience and religion at the top of the list. Those actually hit a bit harder on him because her experience is executive, and she left the more 'intense' church without it becoming a national issue. The biggie is how she has drawn out the bile, spite and bitter partisanship Barack Obama spoke about ending when he stepped into the national spotlight. Now that it's time for his behavior to match his glowing proclamations of virtue, he's mighty quiet. Believe it or not, the hate speech is a real turn-off for a lot of folks. Oh you betcha. She highlights very nicely that the most important value in the Dem platform is hatred for those who disagree. She's like Luminol for liberal hypocrisy.
