I have noticed recently in profiles some people putting gaming in their loves. I have been a gamer since my parents bought my my first Commodore 64 some 25 years ago. Of course now that I'm older with a real life I don't spend nearly as much time as I use to in a virtual world.

I've emailed a few users and so far haven't found anyone on her that shares my game likes. So I figured I'd post and see how many are willing to come out of the wood work and show their face. If I could find someone who plays my mmorpgs it might be nice to share a guild with them.

So what games do you play? Are you in any mmorpgs if so which ones?

Offline I mostly play Civ4 although I'd like to try Spore. Most of my gaming however is online where I have a Sony (SOE) Station pass and accounts with all their games. My main one that I'm active on right now is Star Wars Galaxies but play Everquest 2 and Pirates of the Burning Sea as well.
I do play Eve Online but currently have my accounts with them canceled.

Gamer right here! Been gaming since my getting my Atari 2600 as a wee li'l boy! (sigh) Sadly, I'm not very up on the more recent games...not that they're all that great. Call me a bitter old man, but games nowadays are all flash and no substance.
Don't play that much anymore (partly because I'm slowly-but-surely working on my own games), but I love the artsy sorta stuff that everyone else hates, like Rule of Rose, Baroque, and Killer7.

Does Ultima Online Count ?  I play a saucy little Vampire who is a bitch to  everyone but her ingame cranky Vamperic spouse to whom she is ultra submissive ... GO FIGURE

You would think after 4 years of playing one I could spell vampire right

I know this will sound dumb - but is Ultima Online still around?

We are a household of gamers.  As Darcy often states - having a gamer girl rocks!
Darcy and my son are trawling through Star Wars Force Unleashed right now(seeing as you mentioned the wars).  My son is also going through SPORE, absolutely thinks it's the best.  We have all the major consoles but 360 is ultimately the best followed by Wii.  My daughter is a SIMs fan, and loves the Horror shoot ups.

Me?  I am awaiting Halo Wars.

I'm a gamer of the old ways. My ancient arts include being physically face to face with other gamers, rolling dice, playing paper rock scisors, having a piece of paper called a Character Sheet, and wearing a semi mock wordobe of my character.

I played Galaxies for a while. My family was hooked on it and got me into it also. Then we switched over to WOW and that is where I spend a lot of my time. I know there was a guild from here on one of the servers, but it was always full when I tried to get on, so I haven't played that toon much.

Sasy....I don't see why Ultima Online wouldn't count. It was one of the first we ever played and I always loved that one. I didn't realize it was still around.

My current PC isn't really up to cutting edge games. Am looking to upgrade my machine in the next few weeks and would be happy to look for fellow CMers online. Have played Runescape of course, everybody has. Was a big fan of Age Of Empires.
I am currently polishing off the PS2 back catalogue. Enjoyed all the Shin Megami Tensei (megaten) series, Zelda, Unreal, Black, God Of War, Myst, DMC series, Silent Hill & Metal Gear Solid series. Sometimes 20 minutes of alien culling is as restorative as fine wine and a sunset.

I played EQ and EQ2. My kids have played Lineage, Guild Wars, WoW, Eve, Age of Conan, EQ and EQ2. Right now I'm not playing. Those damn things are addictive and I was neglecting things.

Gamer here! I spent my formative childhood years bonding with my father over the classic Atari games.

I used to play WoW like a maniac - lvl 70 pally named Amelais, raiding guild on high-ranking server, etc, but as Fangs said, I hark back to the days of the dice rolling, character sheets and RPS.

I gave up WoW when I realized I needed a life outside of gaming. World of WarCrack, indeed.

not playing anything till D3 comes out and only if its free to play...i find it dumb paying $60 for a game then $15 a month to play it....whats the point in that??? the games should be free if theres a monthly service fee..

ive never played consoles...but atleast they are without a montly fee.

I had to laugh at this. I, too, have a secret life as a half-elf magic-user, on graph paper, and I bet, if I tried, I could find my bag of Dragon Dice.

I have 9 warlocks on WoW (Malfurion)... unfortunately, I only play once every couple of weeks these days, and I'm getting old on the meat-life end of things... so sometimes, after a few weeks of not playing, I can't remember what that character was supposed to be -doing- and why I'm sitting in Stormwind at the FP... I know I must have been either coming or going, but even looking at my Quest Log doesn't clue me in on what I was thinking when I signed off. *LOL*

On a side note, how many of you actually pay for the games?  Can't do anything about the MMOs, but single players? Do you buy them or......

I curently  play EQ and SWG. I tried EQ2 and WoW and found both of them lacking; just not for me.

I am thinking about getting Spore though; I like what I am seeing of it so far.

I used to play Tanarus; Quake; and Baulders Gate...all online.

Ohh, let's see. I have played Neverwinter Nights, Ultima Online, Everquest, Everquest2, WoW, Tanarus Online, Ragnarok Online, SWG, Anarchy Online, and Final Fantasy.

The youngin, when she get's it in her head to do so, plays EQ; but that's the only one.

Enjoyed all the Shin Megami Tensei (megaten) series,

Zohmygod, someone here's actually heard of Megaten! I just had to wet myself over that!
Y'know, with all the retro games being brought to the Wii's Virtual Console, it would really be a good move to translate and port all these cool Japanese games that America got screwed out of before, like most of the Megaten games.

Hello Tabris, weren't they beautiful? Some of the end scenes took 20 minutes and it was like a trip into Syd Barrett's mind. Japanese games play on the Euro PS2 and many have been ported fully to PAL. There do seem to be more problems with NTSC in the states. I find a lot of current games boggling at first then I realise it's something I've seen before with a garish new skin and less gameplay.
