LaTigresse -> RE: Sarahcuda blames Couric for her stupidity (10/9/2008 1:16:53 PM)

What I find humorous is that the polls in Alaska have shifted ever so slightly. McCain/Palin a very slight drop and Obama/Biden a very slight rise.

In Arizona, both tickets have risen equally.

Apparently even Palin's own people are having doubts. Obviously not enough to matter yet, and I doubt it will change drastically there. But it is interesting none the less.

she is running around making misleading, and outright false, claims that have either been discredited previously or have no proof to back them.

So William Ayers wasn't a domestic terrorist?  He didn't introduce Obama to his friends and associates, in his home, early in Obama's career?  Maybe some aren't as up on how these state legislature campaigns work, but hosting a "meet the candidate" is known as an endorsement.  From a bomber who says he's sorry they didn't do more...

Obama was completely ok with accepting that endorsement.

That implies that he accepted the endorsement with full knowledge of Ayers's past. Was that in fact the case?

"Worse, Palin's routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." "

"Sarah Palin was on the verge of inciting a race riot in northern Florida yesterday. At her rallies, the Republican faithful hurled a racial epithet at a black sound man, and screamed "kill him" and "treason!" at Barack Obama.
"Boy, you guys just get it!" Palin responded. This reaction, presumably, was what Palin had in mind when she urged John McCain to "take the gloves off." "

The true face of the Republican party, the one that decent people don't see.

Chill the holy living fuck out.

It's a Presidential election....someone has to do it....someone does it every fucking 4 years....the rest of the planet either thinks "Hoofuckingray" or "whatthefuckwe'reyouthinking"....and it goes on...the fuck...every fucking 4 years.

Who fucking cares?

Your vote doesn't mean shit anyways...and if you think it does...you ain't been paying attention.

Go make some freaking money.

It's a double edged blade, DC.  He didn't know whose living room he was shaking hands in?  Goes to judgement, doesn't it?

Like his "God DAMN America," pastor, Obama was connected with Ayers for many years before denouncing what he had done.

Poor advance work, anyway. I don't know much about Ayers. Was he sufficiently notorious that whoever arranged the meet-and-greet should have known about his past? Or was it a well-kept secret?

Even if we say he made an error in judgment, that's a far cry from knowingly "palling around with terrorists," which is what the McCain camp seems to be trying to get us to believe.

For me, the really sad thing in this is that I actually did respect McCain not so long ago. When and why did he start channeling Karl Rove?

I think this is all bullshit!  I have not seen any credible evidence that Sara Palin incited a riot.  John McCain did his duty and served his country and he paid for it dearly.

And for that, we owe him our greatest thanks.  But that doesnt translate into owing him our vote.  He still has to earn that, just like Obama does.

Personally, the religous activists that Palin is associated with is no different than Ayers. Both elements have or had visions of attacks on the government.

Well said. Same thought applies to me as well.  The Straight Talk Express definitely hit the curb at the intersection of Rove Ave. and Palin Blvd.  The wheels are all wobbly now, perhaps unrepairable.

I don't know that is the case, DC.  It's October.  McCain isn't the type to roll over and quit.  His running mate certainly isn't either.  I'd like them less if they were.  The fight isn't over until a kneecap gets bitten.

Double edge?

Terrorists,death squads,extemists oh my.....

And clinic bombers to pal around with.

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/McCain_connections_coming_back_to_haunt_1007.html

And the stock market lost another 700 points today.

Where`s McCain`s leadership on this issue?

TheHeretic -> RE: Sarahcuda blames Couric for her stupidity (10/9/2008 9:29:11 PM)

That's nice, O59.  Let me know when you find a record for your candidate we can compare these things to.  Oh yeah.  Sorry.  He's never done anything, has he?  Did he even have the leadership skills to make captain of the basketball team in HS, or was he too busy snorting coke?

OneMoreWaste -> RE: Sarahcuda blames Couric for her stupidity (10/9/2008 9:56:47 PM)

1. If my name was Sarah (or even Sara), I would totally adopt "Sarahcuda" as my screen name on all Internet forums. I'd probably steal Plymouth's old Barracuda emblem as an a6vatar.

2. Y'all folks going bugshit over VP nominations: off the top of your head, name the Vice Presidents going back to Harry Truman.

Can ya?

Owner59 -> RE: Sarahcuda blames Couric for her stupidity (10/9/2008 10:04:26 PM)

I`m always amazed how when cons start blaming others and attack others for their failings, and it always turns out that they`ve done the same things and worse.

lol

All that egg on the face and eating crow must be a yummy combo.

Only now, McCain was paling around with these terrorists,as they did their evil.

Obama was 8 years old 40 years ago.

Is there any proof that Obama even knew about Aire`s past?Or that any of the other republicans who served on the board w/ Obama, also knew?

It`s an important question? Or is it?

This reminds me of my lifeguard training and the struggling victim.

The victims are so desperate to breath that they`ll actually try to hold you under to left themselves up to get air. It`s very dangerous.

The reaction is to punch and kick them away.We practiced this twice a week during the season, both as life guard and as the simulated struggling victim.Fighting in the water is a whole different trip than on dry land.

If they`re conscious and still struggling after that, you wait until they`re un-conscious before attempting to bring them to shore.

They aren`t coherent or willing/able to think. It pure ,primal survival.

Many a drowning victims has killed a would be rescuer.

McCain is the desperate struggling victim, willing to take anyone down with him, right now.

Sad.

Obama will meet the challenge and make McCain look bad in the process.

No need for dreaming Heretic, all I need do is cast my vote on Nov.4th, watch the returns and sleep easy. You and Sarah can do the dreaming while you try to figure out the next move.....though after McCain has exposed her to the national stage and th scrutiny that comes with it she really has no next move...oh well maybe she can resurect her basketball career, isn't the WNBA in need of a point guard willing to play dirty.
