" I want to serve"..

Q--Do you know how to make a bed with square corners and the Marine coin toss?
Can you clean a toilet?
Can you separate My clothes so My whites aren't pink?
Have you done litter pans?
Have you ever been a secretary?
What are your organization skills?
Have you worked in a vegetable garden?
What is your current diet like?
Do you have allergies?
Do you know your way around a grocery store, and not looking for cigarettes?
Do you currently have any debt or bad debts?
What if any is your spiritual orientation?

1) Yes =) Hospital corners are great, then the bed dosn't pull apart in rough activities.
2) Yes
3) Yes I even know when to use bleach and when not to, and I promptly fold everything out of the drier so it dosn't wrinkle (most of the time =* )
4) Yup Until I left the house at 18
5) Yes 11 months ish before I moved to current job
6) Finacial or physical? Everything is organized and I can tell you where anything is at any time inside my living area or work area.
7) Yes though with our short growing season growing up most I ever got was tomato's and carrots.
8) Cheese, Bread, daily Tea, soup, lots of water, and random junk food binges. I try to eat small healthy amounts.
9) Yes Dust/Pollen/Pets
10) Yes, I even worked in on for a year. I also know my way around German, Japanese ones too and now I'm learning Italian ones.
11) No Debt, I hate Debt.. if I can't afford it out of pocket I don't need it.
12) Christian (catholic to be precise) I partake in my spritual self through quite relaxing community worship in a local parish. I'm really picky though so I dont always go if I dont like the on in the area.

Q--Can I attach you to a Hummer by your CB for CBT?
Can I send you to the Czech Domme camp for a month to get trained?
I assume by that statement you aren't opposed to being branded?

A better statement for me would be "Use me as you see fit in the bounds we both agreed on"

Communication is important, so estabishing bounds of behavior and action for both you along with expectaions is an important thing before such a statement. But to humor your questions =)

1) You could... but I'd be missriable, scream a lot, and be really hurt afterwards. (I dont deal well with CBT after a recent hurnia surgery)
2) You could... but I beg and beg you not to. Plus I like to be trained to your standards and desires not someone else in a far flung camp.
3) Nope not really, though I dont really like such things I could deal with if she really wanted me too. Though I would try to make sure she had all avaliblr information on the subject before she makes a final choice.

ORIGINAL: LadiesBladewing
We also ask things like:

Have you taken care of a living will?
What are your preferences for your body if you die?
What are your preferences if you are unable to tell the doctors about whether you want life support?
(If they have unmentionables) Have you arranged a will to assure that your "unmentionable" is taken care of if something happens to you?
(If they have unmentionables) Who do you want your unmentionable to go to if you are in an accident?
(If they live separately) Do you have homeowner's insurance and have you been keeping it current?
(If they have a car) What are the limits on your automobile policy, is it current, and is it sufficient to cover damages and medical expenses if you are in an accident?
(If they have a driver's license) Do you have any tickets, are they moving violations, and how many/how recently have you been ticketed?
What are your current practices in regards to things like drinking and driving?
Have you ever shoplifted or stolen from your job?

Ok... this is only a partial list... but most of these come up or are answered one way or another during our early weeks/months together (usually before the consideration collar, and always before the House collar.) We are also willing to answer these (and other necessary but unusual questions that have come up) for our servants.

Lady Zephyr

1) Yes I have one from work
2) Cremation if she wishes to keep my remains around, if not national cemetary.
3) Don't forcefully keep me alive. If I'm brain dead or my body wants to go.. then let it.
4) See #1 (unless we are talking about underwear... then she can do what she wants with it)
5) See #1 and 4
6) Don't own a home
7) Anyone over 25 can drive, yes, yes and yes
8) 1 speeding ticket in Germany, other then that none in 4 yrs. Before that 2 speeding tickets in VA, before that 2 car accidents at 16.
9) I refuse to drink and drive. If I am going to drink I take a bus/tazi/friend together.. not driving there means no temptations. If I drink I bum a ride.
10) No

Lots of very good questions to answer. I think I will be forwarding this list to my Better Half, though she has asked me a few of these some are ones we didn't think of. Thanks for the great questions =D

Edited to add: Many people impose limits (hard and soft) on themselves and things they are willing to do. Something I've come to realize latly is that no matter how many you impose when you find someone whom you love, and who loves you back, many of those limits go out the window once you submit. The statment of "Anything for love" comes to mind.. things I never thought I'd do or didn't want to do suddenly become bearable if she is the one asking me to. Basically her hard and fast limits became mine, not the other way around. So when asking questions of each other, try to follow the example of the above Lady's ask practicile questions that deal with every subjects, instead of about kinks and limits that might change once the relationship starts.

Just my 2 cents

Taik

Excellent as always my friend. I think that you've hit the nail on the head and have tuned in to where I'm coming from in this big, bright world of BDSM, focusing specifically on the D/s portion.

So often, the "Doms" are looking for what the 'sub' can do for them. But I come from a perspective of a power exchange model. In that, there's got to be something in it for me, as the 'sub' with respect to the "Dom".

I am not a maid. I'm not a baby sitter nor am I chief cook and bottle washer. However, I can perform those duties within the context of a relationship. If someone's only looking for a housemaid, then they ought to say it. If someone can't take care of themselves first, and seek a 'sub' in order to make themselves a whole person, that in my opinion is problematic.

Great list Elegant!

BalletBob -> RE: Ever think about these questions? (12/7/2005 10:03:54 PM)

Hi MH00314. Even though it saound like a Sub Application to you, I would love to answer it...I don't have anything better to do at the time, and I am an Exhibionist at heart...TEE HEE HEE

I do know how to do a bed with square corners.....or Hospital Corners as we called them in the Navy. I wasn't allowed a coin in Boot Camp either.

Yes I do know how to seperate loads, and do the laundry lot for my Bunny Muffins. I am starting to like Pink, and finaly got my FIRST pair of Pink Tights. And SANTA is getting me my first pair of Pink Ballet Slippers too. I already have Pink Pointe Shoes.

I do know how to change the little pan for our Fluffy, though most of the time the wife does it. I do scoop it a lot though, to get out the Lincoln Logs....ha ha ha

I had been something like a Secretary while I was in the Navy..and even typed 30 WPM. I handled personnel records and reciepts.

I was a Scout Master years ago, so I can organize a little.

I never worked in a Veg garden, though I did help the wire with her Butterfly Garden.

I don't have any special diet, but try to cut down on the afternoon or evening Munchies. I have to keep my Girlish figure, just in case I am ordered to wear my Leotards, Tights of Tutu.

I don't have many allergies except for Sinus trouble some times.

I know my way around the grocery store, and know how to shop for the best item, at the best price. I always compare prices with sizes and different manufactorers.

I don't have any depts and never will again. I don't have or use any Credit Cards.

It's hard to figure out my Spirituality. I do believe in GOD, but not very religious.

I am not sure how you would attach a hammer to my LITTLE BOY or his 2 BUDDIES, except for the claw part, and I am NOT into that much pain...just a little for FUN ! And I DO LOVE C&BT !

My wife and I would want me in a Czech Domme camp, and now way am I getting branded..my wife would kill me, if I didn't have a Heart Attack from it.....tee hee hee

not trying to BE a smartass...really..BUT!
i know, and have known..a few dommes and 1 dom..that are utterely helpless alone.
if it wasn't because OF a slave being around their life would be a total shamble.
not all people are able to do everything for themselves. and if they COULD.......they would have no NEED for a slave.........

but it is just MY view AND experience in real life..............

take care all.

We have recently seen many good posts about expectations, hirt ( honesty, integrity, respect, trust)--we have also seen threads about lists, what to ask, what not to ask, etc. in the middle of the night when the darkness greets the dawn, I thought of things we do not think to ask---food for thought--remember its the little things that break us apart---and few BDSM relationships can have one naked and chained 24/7--so ( I am hoping this will be fun--) here are some thought starters

" I want to serve"..

Q--Do you know how to make a bed with square corners and the Marine coin toss? yeah, though why bother if there's no marine around to toss said coin or something else?
Can you clean a toilet? yes, of course
Can you separate My clothes so My whites aren't pink? whats wrong with pink? but yes
Have you done litter pans? no, i cant say's i have, cat litter yes
Have you ever been a secretary? yes
What are your organization skills? Wonderful
Have you worked in a vegetable garden? yes
What is your current diet like? marvelous, varied and nutritious
Do you have allergies? none
Do you know your way around a grocery store, and not looking for cigarettes? yes
Do you currently have any debt or bad debts? no
What if any is your spiritual orientation? freedom

"Use me as You see fit" marvelous, now come around tomorrow, use my spare wood to knock up a kennel for the new dog, mow the lawn, wash your hands and apply suntan lotion periodically so that i dont burn, edge the lawn, then go buy all my xmas presents without exceeding this paltry some i have of course budgeted for, very kind of you to offer yourself.

Ok some of these are tongue in cheek--however, they make a real statement about needs. wants, desires, expectations and the cold smack of reality---I can hardly wait to see within the TOS what our responders have to say--smiles

Driver1961 -> RE: Ever think about these questions? (12/9/2005 2:34:35 AM)

Some very funny comments here, and I struggle to get some more questions because of my chuckling................

Questions to both Dom/mes and subs

The old tried and trues............

Do you put the lid on the toothpaste or leave the crusty gunk there?

Do you have your own toothbrush or use o/ps? (other peoples)

Which way do you hang your toilet paper?

Are you bankrupt or take some sadistic pleasure in using thin waxy toilet papers for your friends and possibly hide the 'quality' toilet paper for yourself?

Do you wash your privates or am I expected to secrete saliva there willingly?

warm regards to all,

Driver1961

Do you have your own toothbrush or use o/ps? (other peoples) i have my own, but will borrow his if stuck away from home.

Which way do you hang your toilet paper? the proper way, so the end is not against the wall.

Are you bankrupt or take some sadistic pleasure in using thin waxy toilet papers for your friends and possibly hide the 'quality' toilet paper for yourself? I have the same in all toilets.

I put the cap on the toothpaste, and usually wash the crusty gunk out of the sink, too.

I have my own toothbrush, though in an emergency, SR and I will share a toothbrush rather than have to live with fuzzy teeth.

We are bathroom hedonists -- nothing short of Charmin Ultra comes into this house unless we are in the most dire of straits (which means that none of the stores we frequent has any Charmin and we are down to the last turns on our last roll). Then, we're liable to opt for the gentlest tree-sparing paper we can come up with.

candystripper -> RE: Ever think about these questions? (12/9/2005 9:11:53 AM)

One of my girlfriends and i put together a list of questions to send to Doms and Masters who contacted us. i have lost the orginial but here is a reasonable facsimile, in part, based on my memory:

1. Do You have a JOB? What is it? What income bracket are You in? How long have You had this job/worked for this employer?

2. Who lives with You? If You are living in Your parents' home, please explain why.

3. Are You behind on Your child support? How much is the arreage?

4. Is there a warrant out for Your arrest?

5. What is Your criminal history? If You pled out, what was the original charge?

6. Has anyone ever taken a restraining order out against You?

7. Are You in this country legally?

8. What is Your credit score?

9. Please outline Your plans for retirement, including Your finanacial plans.

10. What is Your target date for retirement?

11. Do You plan to relocate after You retire? Where?

12. Have You ever had a relationship with a submissive or slave in real life? Why did it end? Have You ever been 24/7 with a woman? Why did it end?

13. If divorced, what is the county in which Your decree was handed down and the case number of Your divorce action?

14. Does Your income exceed Your outgo? By how much? Do You save in any way? How?

There were more; and then we decided to parse it down because we thought it unrealistic that anyone would answer a long questionaire. i know the questions above seem primarily meant to elicit financial information. As i have said, we had a pretty long questionaire, covering many other areas of a Man's life, such as His spirituality.

However, the list above gives You a taste of what we were trying to do: weed out the criminals, the financially irresponsible; the inexperienced; the abusive men, etc. If a Man were to answer such a questionaire honestly, it would really jump-start a relationship. However, IMO, no such thing is possible; the information must be elicited in convos and You must trust Your instincts. IMO, You must verify factoids He has provided before meeting Him in real life.

i've never used a list; i think it's a bit impersonal and most Doms and Masters would be put off. However, i do try to extract some of this information before i go to Yahoo IM with a Man. A significant number of Men wash out at the email stage for the reasons stated above, in the questionaire, or because it's clear they want a cyber-buddy.

truesub4u -> RE: Ever think about these questions? (12/13/2005 9:30:49 AM)

Candy.....

I've said before, I'll say again. You are wise and very bright. I agree with you on this also. Shoving the list up front isn't the best thing to do. It cuts down on the conversation of getting to know one another. But it's information really needed. I know for one, I'm capable of supporting me and mine with no help. Barely, but we do good. I don't want to think I have to support anyone that's in good health and is capable of supporting themselves. Sickness arises and one can't work, that's different. As I would to be able to maintain my employment status as well. Just in case, something happened. I've seen Women be widowed that were taken care of all their lives, that have no working skills other than being a housewife and mother. Didn't even know how to write a check, let alone balance the book.

These are things to take into consideration when meeting and agreeing upon a realtionship. I really don't want to be 100% cared for. I'm good with the 50-50 aspects. This leaves room for the pampering as well. And being spoiled. And being allowed to know, that should something ever happen I would not have to worry about my future.

And yes, I would want to know about why other ralationships didn't last as well. No matter the reason. (Unfortunately, this is where getting only 1 side of the story falls into)

Criminal records... past... yep. Want to make sure if i need to worry about door being busted down, family frightened. Possibly being shot by "Friendly Fire". Etc on that too..

And last, but definately not least.... all extremes taken... of both parties... for medical. As we all know, some have been known to pass things, they never know they have. It's a sad time when you meet someone, being careful with condoms and all. The mere fact of wondering, worrying. And this is even after all precautions, test, safety are all considered, practiced. It's about hit the times.. to where when you walk up to someone and say. "Hi I'm Jessica, nice to meet you. Here's a copy of my latest negative AIDS test." GAWD!!!!!!!

MHOO314 -> RE: Ever think about these questions? (12/13/2005 9:32:56 AM)

you are too funny and yes the dakness is over unless there is a good reason to stop musings and roll back under the covers---needless to say, I don't have that reason

yet.

candystripper -> RE: Ever think about these questions? (12/13/2005 9:44:06 AM)

Ambien and Lunestra are sleep meds; "unmentionables" are little people who You feed, clothe, and teach until they become "teenagers" and You begin praying they go away for college, LMAO.

Mercnbeth -> RE: Ever think about these questions? (12/13/2005 10:04:11 AM)

Is it to be assumed that the person answering these questions will be hooked up to a lie detector, or will the process continue with the potential sub, or submissive "dom" paying for the cost of a private investigator and background check? A questionnaire is a good way to weed out fake doms and dommes. Anyone agreeing to complete one as a condition of meeting should be removed from consideration.

Ah the life of a "true submissive". Taken care of by a rich healthy benefactor, with good credit, without any life history of financial or personal problems; who'll spank you're butt, (not too hard to make a mark), while screwing (whoops pardon "making love") you with the lights out. Afterward he provides aftercare. Running to the kitchen for a fresh glass of wine, stopping at the bathroom to bring to her a warm washcloth to wash off the disgusting remnants of his lovemaking, then running back to take a shower before being allowed to come back to bed. Waking up, he kisses the true submissives forehead, careful not to wake her. He dresses in the dark, rushes to the airport to meet with clients so he can keep his "true sub" comfortable in the manner she has become accustomed.

Crazytwice -> RE: Ever think about these questions? (12/13/2005 10:22:39 AM)

Is that the life of a "true submissive"?
