ARTIST: Tom Lehrer
TITLE: The Masochism Tango
Lyrics and Chords

[ Ebdim7 = ]

I ache for the touch of your lips, dear
But much more for the touch of your whips, dear
You can raise welts like nobody else
As we dance to the masochism tango

/ Em - Am - / D7 - G - / B7 - Em - / B7 - Em - /

Let our love be a flame, not an ember
Say it's me that you want to dismember
Blacken my eye, set fire to my tie
As we dance to the masochism tango

/ " / " / B7 - Em Am / B7 - Em - /

At your command before you here I stand
My heart is in my hand - yecch
It's here that I must be
My heart entreats, just hear those savage beats
And go put on your cleats and come and trample me

/ Am D7 G / Em Am / Ebdim7 E E7 / Am D7 G / Em Am D7 G B7 /

Your heart is hard as stone or mahogany
That's why I'm in such exquisite agony
My soul is on fire, it's aflame with desire
Which is why I perspire when we tango

You caught my nose
In your left castanet, love
I can feel the pain yet, love
Ev'ry time I hear drums
And I envy the rose
That you held in your teeth, love
With the thorns underneath, love
Sticking into your gums

/ C C7 / F - / B7 - / Em - / 1st, 2nd, 3rd / B7 - /

Your eyes cast a spell that bewitches
The last time I needed twenty stitches
To sew up the gash that you made with your lash
As we danced to the masochism tango

Bash in my brain and make me scream with pain
Then kick me once again and say we'll never part
I know too well I'm underneath your spell
So, Darling, if you smell something burning, it's my heart
Hic! Excuse me

Take your cigarette from its holder
And burn your initials in my shoulder
Fracture my spine and swear that you're mine
As we dance to the maso-chism tango

And now back to our locally scheduled program.....

fluffypet61 -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (9/15/2009 10:34:55 AM)

What made my eyes roll today was this on the front page of the local daily newspaper -

A County Circuit Judge on Monday ordered a 42-year-old man to pay two $100 fines and complete community service, in the form of speaking engagements, for striking and killing a 70-year-old bicyclist.  The driver pleaded guilty in August to speeding and failure to maintain control of his vehicle, both misdemeanors.

It seems a little light for killing someone????

I do have to wonder what the whole story was.  I know that around here, bicyclists to not always follow the rules of the road.  It is possible that the car driver was not totally at fault.

Also. . . perhaps they knew that he would need as much money as possible for therapy.

What made my eyes roll today is someone using a word and linking it to a dictionary. The word was hardly challenging!

What has made your eyes roll today?

Did you all know that insurance companies in 9 states PLUS Washington DC also claim domestic violence as a "pre-existing condition"?

That shit makes my eyes roll.  It also makes me want to put heads on spikes!

Brief hijack:

Tammy,
It is easy to care about the group of folks here but when it becomes emotionally distressing or when you get sucked into the various dramas, it is ok to disengage for awhile.
Find something enjoyable to do.
We will likely all be here when you come back.

Hijack over

I can see how they would consider it to be. An abusive relationship is generally always abusive, even when the abuser is hiding the fact he is abusive or not acting out right then. So I would say its been a pre-existing condition for as long as the relationship has been active.

so I'm really not sure how they could classify it..........

This puts ER doctors in a really hard place, do you put down that the person "fell" down the stairs or "tripped" over the curb so that the insurance company will pay or do you put down that you suspect abuse so that the police can investigate it.  Such bullshit.  I just hope that this does not apply to children too.
