ORIGINAL: servantheart There are extremists everywhere and on both sides. My point is that unless one personally knows each and every person in this country, there is no way to accurately generalize the disgraceful attitude of the ones we saw in those televised rallies to everyone or even the majority of people in the entire U.S. Really? So tell me, how many Obama or Biden rallies have you heard where people scream out to kill John McCain? This is the end result of the Moral Majority politics that Republicans have relied on for years. Don't vote on issues, vote on "values". And if you don't share my "values" it is not just a disagreement, you are one of the "evildoers". McCain was booed by many there when he stood up for Obama. I wouldn't call those people his supporters. Again, we have some extremists who acted in a way they shouldn't have. They are not representative of the majority of Americans or even Republicans. In order to make that claim, you'd have to know each and every person's heart, everything they've ever said, and all of their actions. Then you'd be qualified to say whether they are a certain way or not. We have the extreme right and the extreme left, neither of who represent the majority of their respective parties. Ahh the "everyone does it" response. Totally appropriate when you can`t explain something horrible that your party did. No one ever need take responsibility with such justifications at the ready. Okay, first of all, I do not claim either party as my own. I am neither Democrat or Republican. I always vote for who I feel is best qualified at the time. Secondly, I do not condone what occured at those rallies, nor will I ever. It is disgusting, disgraceful behavior, no matter WHO does it. You are right. I cannot explain such behavior. I do not understand it. Furthermore I do not ever wish to understand it. And yes, there are "evil" people everywhere. I do not believe they represent the whole of either party.
