ORIGINAL: LadyEllen Then, the leader of Plaid Cymru had the incredible gall to think that the money for this prison should come from the British taxpayer as a whole (or in other words, from England); Sounds more than reasonable given the plunder the English have got away with from Wales for centuries. Hmmm, first what the English did to New Zealand, and now what the English did to Wales, methinks you think the English are the whipping dog for most of the ills in the world. Well, the ex colonised world at least, in which case you might have a point, but that is history, the past. Oh, and before you go on about how the 'English' subdued and raped the new world, remember one thing, before the English went over borders and seas to conquer a people, they first conquered their own people. What the ' English ' are, is what they have always been, just a bunch of people trying to eke out an existence on a land ruled by land owners. The land owners are still wealthy as they have always been, for they reaped the rewards of conquest. The people, the canon fodder, well they are still trying to eke out an existence, and just as poor comparitively as they have always been. It is just that we, the people, the majority have been deluded into this false nationality, that we are part of the whole, all gathered under flags, banners and other bullshit designed to make us feel part of something for the purposes of control. The sad thing is, we the canon fodder, reap the misplaced hatred of other nations who like to blame all their ills on the country that once controlled them, when it is those controllers is their search for wealth and riches, would gladly sell their own country if they could. But maybe they have already, for how much was Britain is now in the ownership of foreign hands. United Kingdom, it never was, well, not willingly. Now the riches have largely gone or become not as attractive, why hang onto the 'colonies', when all they do is moan, what have they got for the controllers to take, oh, I know, their taxes. The point will come when if what comes out of a colony is less than what is put in, that colony might be set adrift under the false guise of independence. The old machine is still working, seeking it's riches where it might find them and cutting it's losses when the need arises.
