i have lived on both sides.  i am not an expert, but i have lived it for almost 50years.  it is a real belief in both races.  some do not express it openly or to you, but that belief is real.

Status: offline 		no but i think there are many that do not believe it is a real feeling or belief that it exist.  i feel most will blame this on ignorance nd the uneducated as your OP stated.  to alot of intelligent and educated people, mixed race people, like me are a blemish on society.

nothing.

If he doesnt get along with some groups, I guess that is his perogative.   IMO- Obamas race is an asset, not a liabilty.

I understand some cultures can be fearful of others'   but I do think that in this case, it is misplaced.

i do not find that all people that are educated or have high IQ's to be ignorant in their racial beliefs.  that is there belief, no matter how misguided.  i would not label them as a biggot or racist.  they just have their belief.  i experience this everyday.  i have friends & colleagues that are very very conservative when it comes to racial boundaries etc.  but i do not label them as ignorant.  it is there belief no matter how wrong it is.  most of them can tell you why they believe that way and to me their reasons do not sound ignorant.  most keep that belief to themselves unless they are asked about it.

Many things that people believe, and say, are unfortunate and ultimately destructive. For example, large numbers of us have difficulty understanding why some people brand anyone whose beliefs they disagree with an idiot.
 
Personally, I see nothing to recommend in either of your views.
