Twice teir age, a 20yro to a 40 yro? a 30yroto a 60yro. well i don't really want a Child. I guess it really depends on the people, when I was a young man I chased the older women 15+yrs. now as a older man I don't think I could go for a someone half my age, child, I find myself raising the lower age in the searches. My best relationships have been with older women. (not including wife#1 who was older, but acted like a baby, babytalk and the like, eww gross, to me that is) personally I'm looking for +-10 yr age braket. hmmm I guess I need to fix my age then, Nah if you serious/curious, you'll ask

In general, women are attracted to men’s survivability qualities. For example, is he a good provider, does she feel protected? Many of these qualities develop over time with experience; for example, the acquisition of wealth. Men on the other hand are attracted to women’s reproductive qualities. This is why we are drawn to pretty young girls with long hair and big boobs. A lot of people will tell you that its shallow when a man is interested in looks and a/or a woman is interested in a guy with wealth or social status. It’s really just how humans are built and despite what we say it’s how we tend to behave. Obviously there are exceptions to this but I wanted to throw this out there. I’m 32 right now. I have been into the periphery of the BSDM scene/community since I was about 18 or so. I started by going to Goth/industrial clubs and then eventually got into BDSM as an adjunct of that whole thing. When I was younger I was really not a confidant person and it was difficult to meet women to date let alone find BDSM play partners. As I have grown up and become comfortable with myself I have found it a lot easier to have meaningful relationships with women both in and out of the bedroom. I think the bottom line is you really have to look at what you bring to the table. Clearly, the older guys bring things like experience and confidence. If you were a young woman doing something like this for the first time would you want to be roughed up by some ham handed young guy who’s doing it for the first time or are you going to want someone who can carefully and expertly walk you through the BDSM experience. One question I have for you: Do you have a girlfriend or some girls you casually date? Most of my early experiences in this area have been with someone I have been dating in the context of experimentation (e.g. “hey lets tie you up”). I have found that nearly all of the women I have ever dated, from strippers to doctors, have all been interested to some extent or at least willing to experiment. If you don’t have a girlfriend maybe you should work on that first.

I see a lot of posts on here saying that if people would just change who they are attracted too, they would have a whole bunch of opportunities. Telling someone who to be attracted to does not work. Assuming most people are like me, we are hardwired into what we desire and what turns us on. It would probably be easier to change our sexual orientation (a little joke here folks). I have many things that create that spark for me. I don't hold it against a person if they don't hit any of them, but they shouldn't hold it against me either. I don't expect that I fit everyones mold either. Complaining that certain groups only like them older, younger, skinnier, fatter, blonder, or whatever .. is a waste of time. That's what they want. Leave it and move on. It will not change and it will just make people who don't like whiners understand that you are in that category.

Personally im only 21 and i dont think it would be easy for me to find a Dom around my age who is in for more than kinky sex (i have tried trust me) Generally i talk to men a fair bit older because i prefer them to be mature and are more likely to know what they are doing which as a newbie is fairly important. Respect is key i guess for me.

oh it all depends upon the ages in question. When i was 20-something i was attracted to men older than me. now that i've become ageless, it doesn't matter as much and in fact my Master is 9 years my junior. i could not imagine being with a Master twice my age cuz that would make Him 108 and would seem kinda creepy.

I don't know. I sometimes wonder if it isn't seeing the dom as a "guide" or something like that. So many say they will bring out the best in their subs...they will guide them in life or whatever. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that. I think that younger women may be attracted to older men because it could be rather hard to imagine someone their age "guiding" them. Course, I could be totally off base too. Wouldn't be the first time.

speaking of ages...has anyone noticed the age of this thread?? I dont know about double my age....but I was born the year my Sir granduated high school. I didnt gravitate to him "because" of his age. Infact when I first met him I actually thought he was quite a bit younger than he actually is and if I had known only his age without meeting him first I probably would have said no way. I think after my first few failed relationships with men closer to my own age I started to lean towards men around 10 years older than me because of reasons many have already stated...a stable job, living conditions, more willing to date a girl with a small child....

Looking at this thread a moment ago, my dominant summed it up more nicely than I could in saying "Maybe because so many men run around acting half their age?" Yup, in general I'd say that's the reason. I'm not sexist about it either, I'm sure it applies to women too. I don't know much about that side of the coin, but it seems submissive men often end up with older women too, maybe 10 or so years older anyway... Added years are added experience, earning of stripes, someone you can trust when you put yourself in the very vulnerable position of submission. A dominant has a lot to handle and can do a lot of damage if they are not competent (emotionally as well as with techniques), so experience (both life, and BDSM experience) count for a lot in that. Well, and I myself have always had a professor complex... but that's another story. Mmm, nice memories though, the first implement I was ever spanked with was the bound copy of my ex's doctoral thesis. Ohhhhhh yes, that was hot! To be honest I could never bring myself to date in high school because I simply couldn't respect the people I had to choose from. For me it's an issue of maturity... I'm not opposed to someone my age, but the likelihood that I will find the maturity and experience is far greater when I look in people older than I.
