And yet- Obama voted for the bail out. I do not know that I can vote for him because of that.

the bail out makes ME a slave.   I will have to work oodles of hours to pay $ to wall street.   That was promised per mccan and obama.    that legislation was so sloppy. no oversite.

if it was a genuine problem, ample oversight would have been part of the deal.  it isnt.  what is there to fear on oversight if everything was on the up and up?

one man is in charge of the fruits of my labor ie enlavement.  bernacki.

we were sold for a few beads.  well less then the beads. at least the indians got some beads.

bear stearns was forgivable - that was their benefit of the doubt.

dont you see?  we have been ROBBED!

Is THAT the only reason?
What do you think would have happened without the bailout?

No one is perfect in the world, and we have no perfect candidates running sorry.
Screwed if you do, screwed if you don't.
Whoever wins this election, is coming into the worse economic times in America, in

80 years.
Do you think that is a great position to be in?
This economy is fucked up any way you want to look at it.
I can think of a million reasons to vote for Obama and about 2 to vote for McCain.
Count the costs, and then go vote.

Maybe we have been robbed.
Let me ask you a question, pahunk.
Did you vote for the CURRENT President we have?
The one that will go down in history as one of the worse Presidents ever???

Maybe we all have been robbed, screwed and kicked in the ass.
In fact, I am sure of it.
McCain equals more failed Bush policies.
We will all have to take our fucking medicine soon, I dont give a damn who wins.
That is a fact man.
Maybe with Obama you just get a small kick in the ass, yet you can still stand and walk.
Maybe with McCain you get a great big kick in the ass, and you need surgery to walk.

Face it, either way you will get kicked in the ass.
Decide which way you want to get kicked in the ass, and then go vote.

Obama is more likely to handle the event in a way - I like how he lays out his logic. I really am torn here.   Not that my one little vote will count... but I routinely write congress.

McCain is too big business.  and you are right- we have had enough GOP rule. I voted Kerry who they said was the most liberal senator we had.

I definitely will vote.

So far my ticket will be split.

I think Obama can get us thru hard times.. and just dont know if he answers to wall street- or if when push comes to shove.... if it..... matters much.

I see your point.     the media gets me mad. it isnt vote and we are finished. no way.  regular contact with the govt as to what you want as policy-.... that we the people govern ourself, not some king somehwere, or some dictator.

And while Im on it- I love your posts. I am desparately trying to plot my life so my impact is cushioned.       take real steps like getting a water supply on hand- and surviral things.

Our attention span sucks. people en mass should cancel TV.  it is ruining us is many ways.

Awww thanks pahunk.
I like your posts also.
I also am not happy about the bailout.

I DO give a damn who wins, I Do give a damn who wins.
What I meant is we will still have a tough road ahead of us, whoever wins.
We will all have to take our medicine.
I want to get the medicine from Dr.Obama, no the messiah, no the maverick.
lol, I meant Senator Obama.

From a local news show here, it seems Palin's minority constituents have not been pleased with her attitudes and behavior in the past or the present.

"Alaska's minorities feel ignored by Palin"

AP: October 18, 2008

" Many of Palin's black constituents say they're disgusted with the campaign's racial overtones.

The president of the Alaska Black Leadership Conference, the Rev. Alonzo Patterson, says Palin "has no sensitivity to minorities." Patterson says Palin is "really inciting a lot of African-Americans to get out and vote." "

Obedient sub that I am, I Googled the phrase and got links to various blogs at which people accused Obama of playing "the race card" for pointing out the prefectly true fact that he looks different from all our previous Presidents. I didn't find any examples of Obama's launching a "racial attack" on anyone.

And so people who are against Obama, against the socialist philosophy and "share the wealth" mentality are being defined as racist!

You seem to come here a lot in politics etc. and I am still scratching my head with this stuff. Just what socialist philosophy and share of wealth mentality could you be talking about ?

Could it be the forcing of the taxpayers to 'share $trillion of OUR wealth' with that 'socialist philosophy' that has finally come to the forefront on wall street, eloquently demonstrating what capitalists really are and what it...really is ?

People, get a grip, see the writing on the wall...this $trillion dollar swindle has popped wall street's and capitalism's benevolent and society-serving cherry for good. It is WE capitalists that are now charging a $trillion on our national (federal) credit card to bailout the REAL socialists.

This whole thing kinkroids was engineered and over time created by a whole culture of convincing people that these paper-traders actually serve society at large. Everybody concerned, capitalists, regulators, bonus seeking management, pension fund managers, Fannie and Freddie managment, AIG management, politicians new just exactly what was going on and are still out partying now on OUR DIME as we type.

The election of Obama will change the whole of the American political mosaic. For the first time in world history the world's most powerful country will have as its commander in chief and leader...a man of color.

All Kennedy had to do was give one five minute speech and it bought him a bullet to his head.

Although Biden would certainly be acceptable, if Obama plays ball ...the real power won't get rid of him.

Crazy zealots ? Maybe.

Thank you for explaining this so succinctly.
It is hard to really explain or even understand what is going on economically.
I am not an economist and it is very hard for me to explain.
One thing I do know, is many really do not realize how bad off we are, especially here in America.
I am hoping many "get it" before Senator Obama is elected, I don't want him blamed for
the huge hole, he will have to begin to dig us out.
I remember one of the debates when asked if he could help turn the economy around in 4 years,
I remember Senator Obama saying it would take closer to 8 years.
I also think he is optimistic to even predict that.

Ah, MzMia .. Obama doesn't have to get elected to get blamed for the mess we're in. He's already been blamed.

Economic Meltdown Obamas fault

Fannie and Freddie - Obamas fault

Acorn - Obamas fault

World War 2 - Obamas fault

Obama destroys Earth

You know, for a guy who's running for president, he sure does seem to have a lot of free time on his hands to stir up shit.

My comment regarding "socialist philsophy" and "share the wealth" mentality refers to Sen. Obama.  His words to "Joe the Plumber" re-inforce my view of the 're-distribution of wealth" focus that seems upper most in his agenda.  If you don't think so..well..you will cancel out my vote for McCain.  It's what the "independent voters" think that matters.

I totally agree with you on "who" is responsibile for the mess we are in today.  From Wall Street to Main Street to the U.S. Capital which, interestingly doesn't have a Street address, wonder why?  It all begins with "legislation"...legislation to deregulate, legislation to allow FannieMae and Freddie Mac to insure sub-prime, legislation to allow institutions to acquire instruments that years ago would have probably been prohibited under the "Prudent Man Rule"...and on to the "greed" of Wall Street, the "greed" of individuals flipping real estate in California, Nevada, Florida, and so many other places in this country..driving up prices and selling to the next guy who was going to do the same thing...until it stopped!  And WE are also to blame by going our merry way, "electing" not "selecting" our representatives based on party affiliation and mostly being ignorant of the person we are voting into positions of responsibility.  At least we are finally vetting our Presidential candidates, and not leaving it up to the media to hand feed us and tell us what to do.

Yea...there is plenty of "blame" to go around.  The real question at the moment is not finding blame...but finding a solution to the frozen credit markets...so that WE will have businesses and jobs to go too...and have a chance at rebuilding the kiddies college fund.  Owning 80% of AIG is easily defined as a socialist type move, taking ownership interest in banks is easily defined as socialist type moves...If anyone ha  a better idea at this moment other than screaming full of sound and fury with blameitis, the country could use the help.

P.S. I found the "Kennedy" reference and implication for Senator Obama to be horendous, distastful,  and sophmoric. A conspiracy behind every tree sounds more like Oliver Stone or Moore...soon to be another documentary?

Physical violence against anyone, man or woman, is reprehensible and I don't know anyone who would condone it except for those who engage in it. When it's not consensual, it's criminal. That's not the only example of violence in this election season, either. If the story in the other link is true, hopefully, the proper authorities will be able to do their jobs and deal with it.

The third link involved a minor so I won't highjack further and risk a TOS violation by responding to it. I think most people know my stance by now on such things.

I'm a firm advocate of shining that bright light and do it quite often myself. It's a real shame that we need to shine so many lights in this election.
